Nick was going to be the one changing his diaper regardless so not much of a threat. Honestly Finnick shouldn't ever be allowed to change or diaper himself, doing it solo just raises it chances of leaks and it isn't the "baby's" job in the first place. The idea of a 24/7 diapered Finnick who no matter where he is or what he's doing has to go look for or call his "daddy" to come change him whenever he makes a mess is adorable.

That is exactly what's happening. Even though he likes it, Finnick still needs to put a tough guy act once in a while, or else he'll forget how to act when he's not around his daddy. Nick has complete control over his wardrobe, no underwears, just pull-ups, and Nick has the diapers when he wants him padded.
