This was my con badge made for Califur 2009. This is the only badge I have of my first fursona. This was also my first con and also when I started to make the transition to Zander.
When I first realized I was a furry and got into the fandom I felt I had to create a fursona. I knew I was a cat but I wasn't quite set on what kind or how I would look, let alone what my name would be. This was the first fusona I came up with, a Russian Blue kitty named Shadowfax. Hence the name of my FA account. After I got more comfortable with the fandom and started figuring out what I was doing and who I really was, my calico kitty Zander came to fruition. Zander is who I am today and will be for the rest of my life.
I will always remember Shadowfax with fondness though as he was my first steps into the furry fandom.
