Don't be intimidated by GeneX! Sure there are lots of stories with tons of continuity, but that just means I've had time to take the characters on tons of fun adventures! Also, even if the official characters have interacted with lots of OCs, you should know that I have heavily endeavored to keep them themselves, to the point that whenever a new game comes out, that game can be slipped into GeneX canon without much difficulty. (It's not my fault Forces was a canon mess; but I still made it mostly work ^^;)

Here, the main series is broken down into 13 main stories (11 of which are currently available to read). Between each story that works as a beginning, I stop to explain who would best begin at said story.

For the extra, supplemental and adult stories, the listings are by the number in the main list, with a letter denoting the suggested order to read these stories in between. If there is no letter, then the story can be substituted for the main story version, as the only difference are bonus adult version scenes.

After the reading list, I have added some brief synapses of what each story is about; however there are often numerous sub-plots within each story that I cannot hope to summarize. (so, no, a summary can never really replace actually reading the story; though as the series progressed I tried to do little "previously on" segments at the start of each chapter to deliver any chapter-pertinent information I felt was necessary)

Story Synapsis!

1. Tails the Fox - Taking place shortly after the Shadow the Hedgehog game, the first story in the series finds Team Sonic working to stop the latest scheme of Dr. Eggman, as he teams himself with the enigmatic Experiments who strongly resemble Tails and Knuckles; Copter and Punchy. Who created them? What is Eggman's scheme? And how can Tails rise up out of Sonic's shadow to be the hero? This is where the Sonic GeneX saga begins.

1A. The Lost Prologue - Quite simply, the origin of Copter the Fox. The backstory for Tails the Fox is briefly explored in this 5th Anniversary special.

2. A New Beginning - Copter and Punchy return, meeting new friends and new enemies as they try to adjust to their new lives. Leads directly into Soleanna Struggle.

2A. Nightmare Zone - A series of Halloween Specials, some connected and some one-shot. Some horror, some comedy, some a mix of both. Intended for reading around Halloween.

3. Soleanna Struggle - Taking place during Sonic '06, Copter & Punchy journey to Soleanna in order to protect Experiment 7 from the schemes of Dr. Eggman and Sgt. Gunner. Their quest weaves them between the events of the game, and ultimately an extended ending brings consequences to the story...

3A. X-Mas Special: Copter's 1st Noel - Returning home from Soleanna, Copter sees preparations for the holidays in Station Square, but isn't feeling cheery himself. He learns the spirit of the season in his own way. Meanwhile, Amy throws a holiday party...

3B. GeneXXX Season 1 - Characters begin hooking up for the first time in this lewd adventure! An "evil" scheme is controlling their minds, making them lustful. Can our heroes get to the bottom of this and free their minds?

3C. 2BIT & GeneX at the Olympic Winter Games - Later removed from canon, this story is set during the first Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games (3DS Version). The GeneX heroes meet their true creator, 2BIT, and face his dark side, 8BIT...

4. The Series Season 1 - A collection of one-shot chapters filling in some of the gaps in the story thus far, and expanding the world of Sonic GeneX. The plots converge in the season finale, creating a sense of continuity for the first season.

4A. 1st 3 Lost Episodes - Episodes set during The Series Season 1. Lost Episodes add XXX scenes in-between actual scenes from the original chapters.

4B. Chronicles: The Twilight Cage - Set during Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood. An evil morph known as Nova emerges, seeking a mysterious set of artifacts known as the Twilight Shards...

4C. 10th Anniversary: The Lost Chronicle - Ending to The Twilight Cage. Silver is sent back in time to before the fall of Angel Island to prevent a catastrophe.

4D. Project 20 (Sonic 20th Special) - Dr. Eggman has completed his ultimate weapon, Metal Sonic 20! Will he finally succeed in killing Sonic?

5. Entering Despair - A story following Violet the Echidna as she is driven to join the Covenant of Despair, training to seek revenge of the humans who mistreat animals so callously...

5A. 2 more Lost Episodes - Episodes set during Entering Despair. Lost Episodes add XXX scenes in-between actual scenes from the original chapters.

6. Knuckles the Echidna - The Covenant of Despair emerges, seeking the Master Emerald and the mysterious Chaos Relics as part of a master plan to overthrow humanity and put their organization in control. Knuckles sets out to battle them in order to protect the Master Emerald, and also to guard the world itself from evil in a time of war.

6A. 4 more Lost Episodes - Episodes set during Knuckles the Echidna. Lost Episodes add XXX scenes in-between actual scenes from the original chapters.

7. Generations - Set during Sonic Generations, Copter teams up with an alternate version of himself (originating from Soleanna Struggle) to save his friends that have been captured by the Time Eater, and to stop the returning threat of Mephiles the Dark.

7A. Final Lost Episode - Set during Generations.

8. The Series - Season 2 - After Sonic Lost World, Sonic is called in for arrest by Col. Gunner, who believes that his speed should be siphoned away with their newly acquired invention and placed in a GUN-controlled robot. Misadventures ensue as Sonic spends the year evading capture.

8A. 5x5 Dimensional Clash - Dr. Eggman teams up with Eggmen of four other worlds, forcing five Sonics to unite to battle them in this crossover of multiversal proportions! (Features AoSTH, SatAM, Underground and Boom world visits!)

8B+9A. GeneXXX Season 2 - A vaccine invented by Bucky the Rat is supposed to protect against STDs, but instead is once again making our heroes amorous. Until the vaccine wears off, naughtiness goes on even between chapters of The Series!

8C. GeneXXX Yaoi - Males compete for the affection of Sonic in this yaoi-centric GeneXXX tale.

9. The Series - Season 3 - Split into two 5-chapter arcs. In "Armada", GUN collects a gang of villains guided by Guard the Gargoyle and sends them on a suicide mission to face the Battle Bird Armada. In "Tournament of Chaos", 100 competitors battle it out for a chance to win one of the Chaos Relics, as part of Illusi the Shrew's plan to find their destined holders.

9B. X-Mas Special: Quest to the North Pole - When a reindeer crashes outside their home, Copter and Gemini set out on a journey to the North Pole to aid Santa Claus himself, who is under attack by Eggman! Meanwhile, our other heroes celebrate the season.

9C. BIT Squad: Beyond the 4th Wall - 2BIT is a fox who has split his psyche into numerous physical forms, becoming a team in order to watch over the multiverse from a cosmic office called Byte Space, in this crossover 4th wall breaking comedy series!

9D. BIT Squad Adult chapters - 2BIT has some naughty fun as he explores many different dimensions...

10. Infinite Crisis - Set during Sonic Forces, we follow the Resistance as well as a ragtag group of Freedom Fighters led by Sally Acorn. The avatar is played by GeneX series character Fera the Wolf, a former villain with amnesia, now forced to aid the heroes against Infinite.

11. The Series - Season 4 & Season 4 Shorts - As our heroes work to rebuild the world after Sonic Forces, Gemini the Fennec is determined to change the fates of several friends, and travels to the distant past to stop the origins of the evil Lost Ones. Her magical masters in the Zodiac Council oppose this plan, but are locked in conflict with one another, too, using former heroes as pawns in their battles. Through it all, Punchy is due to be married...

11A. Chaos Hearts - Lucky the Cat encounters the heartless, and discovers the power of the keyblade. Teaming up with Whisk the Divine and an alternate version of Tails, they explore various worlds and battle to prevent a villain named Garland from creating something called "Chaos Hearts"...

11B. GeneXXX Season 3 - While more general naughtiness continues, Chet the Cheetah begins going a bit overboard, collecting undergarments from his conquests and messing with experimental drugs that Bucky had created...

12. The Series - Season 5 & Season 5 Shorts - To be released 2019

13. Sonic the Hedgehog (title pending; series finale) - In the series finale, Sonic will face his greatest challenge yet, with the fate of the world seemingly sealed by the prophecy of the mysterious Doomsayer...

14. Legacy - A look at a possible ending to the series. In a dark future, the version of Copter from Soleanna Struggle reappears, old and worn. He finds the descendants of the old heroes struggling to survive against a tyrannical GUN. He must find Sonic and call upon him to be the hero the world needs...one last time.
