The room is wrapped in a blanket of darkness, and the air feels paradoxically hot and cold at the same time. The candles burst into unnatural hues of purple, heralding the arrival of the summoned demon. He steps forth from the dark and into the circle in irregular steps. Half like a hare, half like a goat, a whip-like tail snaking behind, draped in red, comes Duke Ba'al Berith, governor of 26 legions.

He smiles, greeting you with uncanny gentleness. It hits you then. The silver ring, through which the warlock is intended to command the demon... it's not there. It lays unreachable, somewhere beyond the globe of darkness that now englobes the summoning ring.

You are now face to face with a . Inside this circle, you can't command it back, you can't imprison him. From his tongue will surely come the most insidious lies, the most tempting false promises, the most merciless rhetoric. And of course, more. You gulp.

The duke speaks in a clear and subtle voice: "This shall be fun."

Something for Halloween. Had lots of fun with the different lighting, the demon's design, and the darkness behind him.

One thing the Lesser Key of Solomon doesn't mention about Duke Ba'al Berith is how incredible SASSY he is.
