Dude that is totally a Nintendo DS, some kinda transreal traveller musta dropped it or something.
Then maybe a game company reverse engineered it or something.

What are they playing? Some kinda Zelda-ripoff?

It's not a Nintendo DS.  It's...the Nintony Dual-Screen.  And they're playing Marcel Kart DS.  Surely you've heard of the Super Marcel Bros.  They're French carpenters. :D
