Not in this instance... He's the only person I know that doesn't have some amount of Scots-Irish heritage! So I just chose the tartan for the province his mother's family is from (Nova Scotia) because I thought it was awfully pretty color scheme.

That is interesting. My dad had French/Irish/Scottish ancestry, and my mother's maiden name was Kilgore, so I've got a bit from both sides. Still, if he's got the spirit, then I say, 'Carry On Kilting'.
