Learning from the failures of the Red Fox Zero project in 3034, Alshain Weapons sought to improve on the Zero with the wave of advanced technology that came about from the rediscovery of the Helm Memory Core. The addition of an Extra-Light engine increased power and freed up slightly more weight to add an additional heat sink. Other upgrades included switching to double heat sinks, and dropping the older RAMTech large lasers for brand new Extended Range models, making it an extremely effective and heat efficient jump sniper. Refinements in its targeting systems, mobile chassis, and the weapon cluster on its back, allow for better firing solutions over the Zero and improved capacity for its repair in battle. Unfortunately, it has developed a rarely-occurring flaw in its front legs where after a "pounce" from one of its jump firings, the upper leg actuators will lock up in its most retracted position. The 'Mech will have to "crawl" around at about 66% of its speed from a crouched position until the flaw is corrected either by kicking the joint with its own hind leg, or having a technician correct the problem. It seems to be related to the decorative armor plating on its shoulders, which an alert technician can fix to prevent it from happening with a circular saw and about 10 minutes.
