IS A FUCKING HERO. Let me regard you with a tale that will both frighten and amaze you...
Pegalis' profession brings him to do repairs on apartment buildings for the homeless. As he was leaving a job site he saw one of the male tenants shove a female worker, then push her to the ground and began to savagely beat her in the face with his fist.
Pegalis came over, grabbed the guy, shoved him into a wall, and choked him out. When the guy came back to, he had him on the ground with his hand still around his neck, being totally pro about things saying "If you move, I will choke you back out. Do you understand?" etc.
The reason why the homeless guy did what he did? Because she annoyed him. Jesus fucking .... so three sheriffs show up after he has the guy pinned for 10 minutes, he's commended, and since Pegalis didn't punch back even though the guy swung multiple times at Pegalis and landed a hit to his forehead and left eye, he's a.o.k. both physically and legally. It was all on surveillance video.
The homeless guy was on meth. The female worker had a broken nose, needed stitches, and there was damage to her eye. It was really bad, though she's back at work now (this all happened a few months ago).
I wanted to post this artwork much much sooner, but things happen. However, the artwork was drawn for a different situation that happened to him a year ago...
Pegalis messaged me "Just wanted to let you know. I got attacked by a guy with a knife. I'm 100% alright. I broke his nose and smacked the knife away from him. He ran off with a face covered in blood. Looked homeless."
I honestly didn't know whether to freak out or be in awe, but I decided to draw "Pegalis the Fearless" in honor of his bravery and quick thinking. Honestly I'm relieved he's ok. I asked his permission to share the story, as well as this one.
*blush* Seems I'm the hero of that job site now. Every time I go to it, I'm getting thanked and hugged by staff. Never thought as myself as a hero or anything special. Just a guy who does what needs what needs to be done. Thank you, Grrr for the wonderful sketch :) I Truly appreciate it!
