And now for something completely different: Here's a little bust that was a gift from the very talented and incredibly nice

CaptainCadaver - Thank you so much for this!

This piece has a bit of a backstory, sadly not all of it is happy: CaptainCadaver and I got to talking in the last couple of months. I've been a fan of her work for a while now - and I strongly recommend you check out her FA page: https://www.furaffinity.net/user/captaincadaver/ or her deviantart page: https://www.deviantart.com/cadavercrafts - and so with Eurofurence 24 on the horizon, I suggested her to put some of her figurines in the convention's art show, with me acting as her agent. That way she didn't have to be present there as I would take care of transporting the figurines to the convention, putting them in the art show and then collecting and transferring the earings from the sales.

She agreed to it and produced two amazing pieces. You can see pictures of them here:

Not only were they beautifully crafted, but also rich in detail and you could feel the amount of thought put into them. Sadly, when they arrived at my place via mail, they were badly damaged. The shipping company mishandled the package to an extent which I have never seen before. It broke my heart to see these amazing pieces shattered and broken. CaptainCadaver is currently still trying to at least get some money back for this mishandling of property.

Surprisingly, this bust survived the trip unharmed and I guess that is at least something. I hope that next year, CaptainCadaver will try again and create new figurines that people can come and see at Eurofurence 25. I'd be happy to personally go to her home and pick them up, if I have to - just to guarantee that this does not happen again. :3
