Needing to land somewhere after their ship was under heavy attack they landed to a volcanic planet. Koda was able to identify the planet in an instant the planet Magdomar and Kimball flips out. Turns out the Waterthians and the Volcanthians have been enemies for centuries but Koda doesn't know their species differences so he is not bother to ask help from them but Kimball is.
