Really makes you wonder, doesn't it? What would Cell have been like if he'd grown up without Gero's instructions and ego-fluffing going on in the background? Would he still be a genocidal asshole due to his genetics coming from a bunch of assholes? Or would he be one of those "What is my purpose for existing?" types who have to be made to discover that they're in control of their own destinies and don't need to be defined by a purpose?
