Sol's world has long since been opened to many different universes, which is why Thadius was able to find the Digital World, though Sol frequents his particular Pokemon world a lot, it wasn't too hard for Thadius with his own vast knowledge of his own world to recognize Sol as something foreign. Thadius being the intellect that he is obviously needed to explore this new creature which lead to Thadius being invited to Sol's home and the two intellects undoubtedly talking all day and possibly well into the night. I'm sure they had plenty to teach each other!
