Ren and Apero
How Are You Lost?
Ren the forest drake would be my most powerful character among my band of merry little 'sonas. With a immeasurable amount of mana he derives directly from the planet, and the ability to control and conjure and type of plant life; foreign or native, so long as he has interacted with it once, Ren can create vast lush forests from wastelands, or turn whole forests into deserts. His mana flows through the plant life, keeping them strong and healthy, touched by his magic makes them resistant to the natural elements. The vast array of abilities he can use through his plant life makes him even more impressive. Needing just a connection to the earth to bring it to his aid, the use of his body or object to use his magic is not needed. His body is immune to all manner of poisons, even counteracting newer toxins introduced in his body thanks to the natural enzymes in his blood and he has higher regeneration, though not your typical high speed regeneration, a gash heals in an hour, a severed limb grows back in a month, a scratch in a few minutes Ren cannot regrow his head should it be severed, or his heart should it be pierced. In addition to his plant magic, Ren does know earth magic, though not as skilled and almost never used, it is more to till the earth than for actual combat.

With all of these abilities though, Ren isn't invincible. His plants although practically immune to non-magical elements, magical entities will have an easier time against them. Physical attacks having next to no effect, there is a limit to how strong an opponent has to be, before they're able to physically damage his plant life. If one with immeasurable physical capabilities were to be his opponent, they could overpower his magic. Ren's greatest weakness, like most plant life, is the cold. If the temperature grows too cold, Ren's magic weakens. The colder it gets, the more severe the weakness. Freezing temperatures cut Ren's magic off entirely. Usually, in the winter, Forest Drakes are at their most vulnerable state, which is why growing up, hand to hand combat was essential to learn in the instance their magic is cut off. Though with no super strength, they're not the most feared physical fighters. In terms of raw combat skill, Ren is just above average and trained with his black halberd. In addition, His regeneration being in tandem with his magic, will also cease for the duration of the cold temperatures. On the opposite end, extreme heat does not effect him in the same way, nor does it make him any stronger. It can just be a bit annoying having all that fur and have intense heat beating down on you. lol.

Though Ren has all of these abilities, he is noted to be extremely lazy and only take quests that interest him, which are quests with a success rate of 5 - 0%, so he will lounge around with his dragon partner Apero, drinking or fornicating. He is a traitor to his kind and is a wanted criminal in multiple countries for all sorts of black market dealings or assassinations. In some, he has destroyed whole civilizations, though, those are very far and few in between.
