So I bought Paint Tool SAI and diddled with it a bit. This is the result.

It basically creates instantly-awesome lines (barring user error of course), and coloring with it's a lot easier. That said, actually doing the linework is a lot more time-consuming than I'm used to with The Gimp, but that might change the more I use the program. I haven't tried shading or anything yet, obviously, but expect to see more stuff done with this program in the future.
