The third pic in the series of nine depicting Bucky in different popular cartoon styles, Bucky in Garfield style, done by the talented VampireMeerkat. 😊

Here’s a quick blurb on how Bucky would exist within this show:

In Garfield’s world, Bucky is considered a mischievous trouble-maker who is known for stealing goodies from the picnic baskets of local campers, much like a certain green hat and tie wearing bear. When Jon Arbuckle decides to drag Garfield and Odie on a camping trip, the trio become the deer’s newest targets. When food starts disappearing, Garfield is blamed and punished by not being allowed to eat the special dessert Jon brought nor join in the camping activities (that part he appreciates) but is determined to prove his innocence and stop Bucky from stealing the coveted dessert, he and Odie work together to stop the dastardly deer. After a whole bunch of shenanigans, the deer and cat part in good terms, until both Garfield and Jon realize the dessert is gone, and it shows Bucky off in the distance, enjoying Jon’s dessert.

Bucky would appear later on at Garfield’s residence, exclaiming that he’s moving in. Ironically, no matter how much Garfield tries to prove the deer’s unwelcome presence, he somehow manages to evade Jon’s notice and shift the blame to Garfield instead. Eventually, Bucky reveals the reason he left the woods was because it is set to be torn down to make way from a strip mall, so there’s no point on trying to get rid off him as he doesn’t have a home to return to. Now understanding Bucky’s situation better, he convinces Jon and Liz to help save the forest, which they attempt to do with very little success. It isn’t until Garfield finally reveals Bucky that they are able to save the forest as it is now designated as the habitat of a rare, new species of deer known the Elusive Big Bottomed Buck. Again Bucky and Garfield part on good terms until the cat realizes his lasagna is missing and it shows Bucky back home thoroughly enjoying it.

When Garfield asks him why he wears gloves, he states they’re easier to snag goodies with.
