Morton and Big Mouth seem to differ in a lot of traits (including height, color, and possibly personality), which might come off as a surprise to Morton. Big Mouth's also probably older than Morton, so he can't claim him as a younger version of himself XD Later on, after Morton gets through his confusion, he'll probably accept Big Mouth and listen to him blabber on about his past experiences.
