Character Sheet for Brant the Hedgehog
Character Description
Boom Brant is my Shadow/Amy baby, but as it's an Amy from a different Universe he and Nula are not technically related. He is a few years younger than her. He is named after a rocket.
Comic Brant is the other half of my twin set from the Sonamyshad. He is Shadows son. Because of his Fathers genetics, he isn't immortal but he ages at half the pace. He has been alive 36 years before he genetically reaches eighteen. His name comes from Brantwood, the Latin name being Campanula latifolia (his twin sister is called Campanula)
Personality
Boom Brant is semi-feral, much like Sticks but with less of a crazy streak. He is fearless but dangerously so. Having grown up away from many others he isn't sure how to interact. He can care for himself but has vague memories of a time he wasn't so alone.
Comic Brant is cold, much like his Father once was. Separated from his twin he misses her always, and will not let anyone else grow close to him. He is very intelligent, but that logic only adds to his emotional distance
Likes/Dislikes
Boom Brant does not much care for civilization. He is happiest in the woods where he can be left alone. He uses his residual psychic powers to fly for very small bursts. He hunts Nula, enjoying the chase.
Comic Brant likes to read, finding it's isolation suits his needs. Having spent years in combat he is a skilled fighter, preferring to fight with his fists rather than use the Chaos Control passed down to him.
Background/History
Boom Brant was born in a different Universe. Boom Shadow can jump between universes easily, and on a mission from GUN he ends up in the 30 Years Later world. There he meets Amy and unknowingly conceives Brant. Due to his appearance (as Shadow, who in their world is an enemy of the public) it isn't safe for him to stay, so he is brought to the Boom universe. His Mother is killed before she too can make her way there. Not knowing who brought the baby across, or whether a threat still exists, Shadow raises his son in the forest home he has hidden away.
Comic Brant is still very young when it is decided he must be separated from his twin sister. Rather than watch Nula age and die years before him, it is believed it is best he is spared her loss. He is aware of her at all times, as she is him, and feels her desires and pains. He is drawn in to the war, and becomes hardened to horrors and heartache.
Relatives/Family
30 Years Later Amy (deceased) and Boom Shadow, Brant is the miracle child Shadow didn't believe he could have. He lived with Boom Sonic and Amy for a short while as they traced Shadow (unaware he had a son). He is grows closer to Nula as he grows up, but shuns most other company.
Comic Brant, like Nula, initially had three parents as he was raised jointly by Shadow, Amy and Sonic. With much sadness they are parted and Shadow raises Brant away from the others. Amy secretly meets with her estranged son, but he is cold towards her. Years later he too had a son who ages slower, who has stronger psychic abilities as his Mother also has powers. Further down the line, it is established that Silver is from Shadow/Amy's bloodline, but by now the Doom blood has thinned and he ages normally.
Body
Boom Brant is a deep purple shade, sharing many characteristics with his Father. He is strong, though like Amy much of it is hidden. He is long and lithe, and the flash of white fur on his chest increases with age.
Comic Brant is the same shade, but his eyes are the same colour as his others and his chest fur is tan. He is heavier built having spent much of his life fighting. He is scarred and war torn, his spines thicker to show his age.
Clothing
Boom Brant doesn't really care for clothes, but he wears one Inhibitor ring just to keep any powers in check and has a knife on his belt for when he hunts.
Comic Brant dons stolen army clothing. He too wears an inhibitor ring to help with his powers. In one of his pockets in a lucky coin, one of two, the other with his twin.
