This commission was done right after I had gotten back into doing some oil painting after a long break, The thing about oil painting is that it's mostly about layering - and we generally go from dark layers to light layers. We do this for a number of reasons, most importantly to avoid polluting our shadows with any bit of white paint so they remain vibrant. So, I thought - why not apply this to my next commission? My digital technique was quite different. To my surprise it went way faster than I expected and I'm pretty pleased with the final result ^^ !
