Appearantly Belfry the bat from the Filmation Ghostbusters cartoon found a particular filthy little stoat bug near his footpaws so the not-so-little bat decided to give me a 'closer' look. :3
So yeah, for those of you who don't know this character, this is Belfry the bat from the Filmation Ghostbusters cartoon. I dunno why he isn't more popular as he's literally a cute young bat in a bathing suit! ... and no I'm not kidding you! He's REALLY wearing a bathing suit!
So then this pic was made partially to get some 'frustrations' out, namely because of the cartoon. You see, there WAS an episode that had size changing shenanigans called: "Little Big Bat" (episode 51) in which Belfry wanted to be bigger (an amazing premise if you'd ask me. ;P) so he was given an amulet by a disguised Malefix which then causes the Ghostbusters to shrink. Now what was the problem with this episode? THERE IS NOT A SINGLE SCENE WITH SIZE SCENARIOS INVOLVING BELFRY. Like- how do you even DO THAT? Okay, I get that the animation was limited and Filmation is not known for its 'quality animation' but COME ON! You have this oppertunity and you don't utilise it. Well there is a Transformation scene with Jack turning into a mouse, so I guess there's that for the TF fans. =w=

Part of me thinks some of the creators knew that macrofurry was a thing and decided to go against it- which is a damn fine shame. But hey! That's what 'Fanart' (especially Rule34) is for, right? =D
Heh~ Same! It had some fun and interesting episodes though and it was able to set a decent tone/style but Belfry definitely was the most interesting character of the bunch, which by comparison to the other cast members wasn't all that hard to accomplish. Heh~ X//3

Oh definitely, I remember that's why I loved most cartoons- because of how cute and adorable the main- or side characters looked (especially when size-change was involved with said cuties... heh~ Can't resist getting a 'closer look' at them. X3).

For the most part the side kicks were cute and not that annoying. My issue is the really simple formulaic stories that always play it safe. Usually all characters in such cartoons are one dimensional stereotypes. That along with repetitive stupid catch phrases such as "gazoodles" (or whatever) in Pocket Dragon Adventures.

Yeah true, though I guess that was done to make it easier for the story writers to write each new episode without having to worry about the characters outside their basic function/representation. Most cartoons of that era were cheaply produced so it makes sense as a lot of time (and therefor money) would otherwise go into them. Catch phrases were another trick to make characters 'stand out' from the rest.
