The Beep Boop Bois
Introducing Vektor and Haften, two beep boops who belong to a Kalosian (German) Steel-type specialist trainer.

Haften isn’t terribly bright and has some trouble regulating his own magnetism. This results in him getting stuck to things on a constant basis. Vektor is sort of a no-nonsense type who tires of this easily, especially considering it’s often him that Haften gets stuck to.

Kalos is supposed to be French though, they even speak it in the games. Cute and funny comic just had to point out that discrepancy.

It is based on France, but we've clearly seen from NPCs that there can be language mixing here and there, including languages that otherwise don't have a region in-game based on their place of origin. I don't think it's that unreasonable that speakers of other European languages would most likely be found in Kalos as opposed to other regions we know of, especially considering how many Europeans in real life know more than one of the languages that originate in those countries.

Plus, look where Germany is in real life. It's riiiiight next to France. I'm hard-pressed to think of a better region for this than Kalos.

If only there were a Belgium region, they speak both languages there, actually looking it up only 8% of people in real France speak German (39% speak English), but the point is that the comic is cute and funny.
