The cigarette must be made out of pure lime for how bright it's glowing! Anyway, after Dragon Master, I wanted to experiment some more with painting in that style. It really appeals to me! So here's something very different in my gallery. I wanted to try to capture a feeling of, "Ugh, ok, here we go again" or similar, or some kind of wearisome 'take it in my stride' feel. Some people have said he looks worried - point taken, I can see that :D
But what do you think about it? Did I get the expression?
Should this be Nid Nannatar the Librarian of the Grand Cosmic Library, which holds every book of every world of every reality, and which has portals into every library (teleportation via library use ?), he could be worried about the theft of the Book Perdurable. All copies of this hellish work, for starting the Time of Madness of Blood, were destroyed, dissolved into the ether,by the Aphosian Talisman, except one that resisted all efforts to destroy or even deface it. By a puissant spell,it was conveyed into the abyss of dream for Nid Nannatar, created for that purpose, to secure & guard. Still, persons from time to time managed to purloin it (Ordog for examp !) the last, a mere lout, who had to run a gauntlet worthy of Indiana Jones in making off with it ....once more,it caused havoc, before it was conveyed back into dream....
Nid Nannatar looks different to each person who beholds him-her-it!, so ANY suitably impressive or startlng figure will portray him-her-it !
