It hasn't been easily for Sonic becoming a Hedge-bat girl due to a mistake at Rouge's, one of the big good and bad things was Sonic getting to know Amy Rose as Sapphire, without her fangirling getting the way, he got see what Amy was really like, a lovely sweet girl, who thinks the world of her friends, when he finally admitted to her how he went from Sonic to becoming Sapphire, she was speakless...even more so when Sonic admitted he started to feel romantic feelings for her, something she's been waiting for years to hear from his lips, but seeing how Sonic was a girl now... it made things being awkward for her to feel the same romantic feelings she had for his male form...
