When my dad showed me those episodes of Baywatch, I thought being a lifeguard would be such an exciting job. I would get to save people, solve crime, and make money, all while working at the beach. But none of that has happened. Most of the time, I just stand around and make sure people don't break the rules. Most exciting thing that happened last week was that I found a bottle of cheap alcohol under the pier. Can't even go for a swim during the lull or read, because the boss is uptight and "we must be ever vigilant." Honestly? It's hard to be "vigilant" when you have a mom under an umbrella while two kids run around shrieking at the top of their lungs.
