It kinda has a Vietnam vibe to it, don't you think? The characters are pretty similar to the first cover I made for him, the one for "Purple Heart". One thing I tried to do with this cover was to use big simple areas of black/dark to make the detailed areas stand out more. Also, one thing I tried, composition-wise, was an "X marks the spot" approach - if you look from afar you'll see there are a lot of implied x's marking the most important points in the picture.
