That... is quite a non-sequitor.

Demonstrate that you are a fake first. Then save the real you. :P

Ordinarily, I'd agree. Having said that, if sweetie has otherwise grown up like they said, then it is believable that there's a biological sweetie (I won't say real, as they both would be 'real' in that world) that could be in danger or at least has existed.  At that point, or even in spite of that point, the risk-reward factor is a valid point.  Either there is a biological sweetie bell out there or not.  If not, then the risk is the time and effort lost in searching except to help conclude that to help save said time and effort.  If there is a bio-sweetie, then finding out if they are alive or dead and their whereabouts may still be valuable.

We are thinking about this way too much huh?

wait... i tallied the votes from the previous post and option 2 won but it seem you went with option 3 instead? i mean i dont mind it was a very close vote (1 vote difference) and option 3 does seem to be a more interesting story considering option 1 and 2 have already been done countless times :3

Vavacung might be counting votes from the DeviantArt and/or Patreon posts of this. Or maybe it's not a democracy and voting is an illusion. It's hard to tell without hearing a more direct message.

hmmm yeah i did only count the votes from last post so i guess if voting was also on other places the result was different x3

Fix her and then save Sweetie Belle

Better solution.  Robo-Belle goes to an engineer, Rarity takes friends and searches for the possible "real" Sweetie Bell, with Robo coming along AFTER the repairs.  Seriously.

No matter what, you can't save anyone if you're too injured/damaged. If someone is in danger and needs rescuing, you need to be in good enough shape to help. Otherwise, you're just a liability, and could make things much worse.

"can't risk losing you again"? So you'd lost her a previous time? I hope that manslaughter was involuntary, Rares.

(from a fanfiction i wrote. sorry if it's a poor copy of the original. i wrote it a long time and i can't be bothered to dig the real thing up again)

SB: Draco, you know don't you? Why wont you tell me? Am I the real Sweetie Belle or just a fake?
UD: *inhales deeply* I wish I was the real Drako. He was always good with words.
UD: How do I explain this? Let me think.
SB: You don't have to think about it. Just answer the question. Am I the original Sweetie Belle or not?
UD: Well, you see, that's very difficult to answer. You're technically...both.
SB: That's impossible! Stop lying.
UD: No no, you see, Sweetie Belle, the original Sweetie Belle, well she has this degenerative disease.
SB: What? I didn't know.
UD: Nor did the original Sweetie Belle. Slowly piece by piece she was losing bits of herself.
SB: But how could she not know that?
UD: I secretly built the mechanical and electronic parts to compensate for the pieces she lost like a one-legged man might use a stick as a leg.
UD: Slowly over time there was less and less of her and more and more of you. I did my best to keep the parts I made as close to the original as I could but there was some differences.
SB: So that's it. I'm a fake.
UD: You are as the original. You're not exactly the same but even real people change over time. You've spend so long slowly changing piece by piece it's impossible to say what parts of you are her or even say that you're not even the same person.
UD: I suppose Draco would say you're as real as you want to be. There's no point chasing dreams or something like that.
SB: But then I'm different to her. I'm not the same person.
UD: The thing I can tell you now is that being a robot allows you to literally be anything you want to be.
UD: You can try to be as much like the original as you can but it will always be from an outside perspective, what people who knew Sweetie Belle thought she was like, like looking at a family photo you remember things as you'd like to remember them but not as they were. Trying to be like that is unhealthy for anyone real or fake. Only you have the closest possible version of the original Sweetie Belle alive in what you are now.
SB: This is a lot to process. I need some air.
UD: technically you don't.
RyB: *glares at Draco to shut him up.*
