This project was a bit of a weird one... on my way home from work, my friend and I was listening to a video that discussed the different, yet common, motifs that could be found within the different rainbow road themes throughout the Mario Kart soundtrack. Using bits of the three common motifs, I have made an attempt of making a Mario Kart like version of Rainbow Road. The first two section (intro and main section) are original while the last section was a direct reference to N64 Rainbow Road's theme. I hope you'll enjoy my attempt at this...
Side Note: This is a revision project meaning that there maybe future revisions (changes) of this track in the future; including name change, additional instruments, and song section changes.
Edit (8/3/2018):
There has been multiple changes made from the first version of this project.
Changes:
~Changed Trumpet (main melody) to Crystal Piano like sound.
~Added multiple copies of instruments to help support chord structure as well as to give it more sound.
~During the N64 tribute: I've added copies of the main melody instrument to support 4sus to 1 (A4sus to A) as well as added more notes for chord structure at (Timestamp 1:35).
~Made a few changes to how the track was mixed.
I might be done with this one as I am pretty happy with out it came out.
What do you think?
Should I add more or leave it as it is?
