You and Cream dig into your sandwiches. Rumble takes half of his sandwich and nibbles on it.
"So Cream, how've things been going the last few days?", you ask.
"Pretty busy this morning, the weather teams are bringing clouds less frequently so things are heating up. Ponies want soft pastries on a summer Saturday morning and then they'll want a good milkshake later as the day gets warm, am I right?" Summer is definitely a busy time for you both. You continue to converse as you eat, talking about work and new treats the two of you have been developing. You both mention Plum and the concert coming up, too. Rumble looks a bit bored, and Cream picks up on it.
"Rumble, what've you and Muds been doing today?" She smirks at you.
Rumble's ears perk up. "We just went and saw a movie. Can I uh...ask what First Base was doing here?"
Creamery blushes. "eeehaha, you saw him? He's just a colt I know is all." She gives Rumble a wink. You know that colt is part of Cream's little group she has her fun with. You and her are already in agreement to try to "share" whenever possible, so if First Base was interested in you it would have already happened.
There are a few other colts to ask about, though, and with her shop closed for lunch it's safe to speak freely. "Speaking of colts we know, how much do either of you know about Tender Taps or Featherweight?"
Cream raises an eyebrow. "Hmm? Trying to expand your horizons?"
Rumble cuts in rather sharply. "Button told him to." He looks a bit...frustrated? "They're both in our class. Everyone knows Featherweight because he's the class photographer. He's just...around wherever you can find him."
"He's the little tan one with the camera, right? He was here once taking photos about how I make my treats. He seemed really anxious and nervous, but he was a sweet colt." She takes another bite of her food. "I donf know who Dender Dapth ith though."
Rumble shifts his seat a bit closer to you. "I know he likes dancing, but that's it.
Did Button tell you about him?"
You nod and check the time. It's 1:20 pm and you have work at 4:00 pm.
"I may know another colt, though.", Cream says.
