| " | one night i was sipping a margarita out of a crystal margarita glass, i dunno i guess i was just feeling fancy at the time. anyway, when i finished the drink i bumped my fingernail into the glass and it made this beautiful chime sound, and i said "thats what i want to use!" it might have been the tequila talking but i washed out the glass, setup my recording equipment, took a think plastic spoon and gently tapped the rim of the glass to record the sound i wanted for the sample. i then took that same sample and clipped the ends off until just the tiniest bit of sound remained (granular synthesis) and used that for the second requirement of the project |
