’s stream on Picarto.com yesterday, there happened an interesting discussion on food, primarily Ramen. It was an interesting discussion, but be it as it may, Ramen is as real as it can get, whether is it instant or someone spent the time to boil the flesh and bones for 18+ hours to make the broth, it is still Ramen.
Thank you Momofuku Ando for giving us Ramen! We Starving Artists do not have to starve that much thanks to you!
So a challenge: Show me your Ramen. Post up your recipe!
Here is mine: Nissin Ramen: Chicken Flavor (3 packages) 1 12oz can mixed vegetables (De Monte Brand) 1 7oz can of Vienna Sausages 4 hard boiled eggs – sliced. 3 1/2 cups of water.
Boil water, once it is boiling, put in the canned vegetables – water from the can and all. Put in the flavor packets from the Ramen Packets, followed by the noodles. Let it boil for a couple minutes. Turn off the heat and let it sit – letting the hot water cook the remaining noodles for the next 5 minutes.Cut up the Vienna Sausages and put in the soup.
