this time I went over the thing with greasepencil to outline the loops that were important to me and went in and re-traced it with polygons like laying a rug on top of each flat area it many rugs. the first time the loops did not connect the right way because I am still "new" a year and a half new. I have not put the claws back on. also, this paw is taking a long fucking time. 5 hours just tracing and problem-solving. not to mention the hours I spent on the other 4 days I spent on this. but it will be worth it once I get it all rigged up and make a test movement.
