Shifty, Augie and Bentley were all at the Milk bar, All were enjoying nice vanilla malt shakes. Boo Boo came over, with the camp mail.
Boo-Boo gave Bentley a parcel (sent from Bentley's Family), He then sorted through some letters
He asked Shifty if he (Shifty) wanted his (Shifty's) mail, Saying "Are you sure you don't want your mail, Shifty?"
Shifty, Sipping down on his milkshake, is telling Boo Boo that he (Shifty) does not wish to see the mail he got, fearing it's junk mail. He is saying "No, No, No, all I get is Junk mail, I'm not doing that again"
Augie, yet to receive his letter from his dad, is trying to re-assure Shifty that it could be from his (Shifty's) family.
Augie is telling Shifty "How can you tell? It could be from your mom, your bothers or your sister"
But, after remembering the abuse he (Shifty) copped from his (Shifty's) family (Like pulling his ear, making fun of his love-life, calling him hurtful names and dis-approving of his way of life), He (Shifty) is telling Augie: "After All the abuse I copped back home, I'd be surprised if they sent me anything PERIOD!"
