Well, after much tech-fu and frustration and more tech-fu and more frustration, I was just about to give up and let this Chromebook win.

Then I found CHRX. Seriously, I typed ONE LINE OF CODE, and CHRX did everything for me. It modified my bootloader, downloaded the flavor of LInux I chose, non-destructively repartitioned my hard drive and installed Linux on it. All while I was still using ChromeOS. It rebooted and I had GalliumOS linux installed. Wacom worked out of the box. A few tweaks here and there to make it look prettier and a few required software installs(Telegram and Krita) and wow. I just need to clean up the mess I made trying to tech-fu this on my own and I'm all good!

In the meantime, have some art of me, getting my wacom stylus, Zelda style. I was so thrilled by this that I've been drawing all day. Some real art will be incoming shortly. In the meantime, consider this my notice that I am back to work. I am taking requests and commissions, and after cleaning up and posting the sketches I did before this today, if I do not have a commission or request I may do a YCH raffle.

Well, provided you can find a work around for the bios locks. This one had all sorts of write protection on the boot sector that I had to circumvent. I still haven't stripped out all of it, as enabling writing to some blocks actually requires a physical unlock - basically you have to unscrew a panel and flip a switch inside the dell!
