huh, im 33 myself and i don't consder myself old, by my reconing you don't earn the right to call yourself 'old' till you hit 50 and honestly given the average human's lifespan these days, thats actualy middle age since most people are living at 'least' to there 80s and some into 90s, we even recently had a local man celebrate his centenial here where i live

I agree with you. I'm not saying i'm old myself and Zenia is just being playful by way of not actually saying anyone's real age at that table, I'm still the youngest. But there are some kids i've met who talk about how they are getting old at 25. Like I wish I was still 25 some times. Could work out, didn't have diabetes. it was good.
But I digress. Yes. until you get to at least mid 40's, you got time unless unforeseen circumstances and or bad luck kicks you in the nads.

there are days my bum shoulder makes me feel older then i am, used to have back trouble too but here in the last year i guess the damage to my lower back must have finaly healed as it hasnt troubled me in an entire year [pinched cyatic nerve...if you have never had that happen, be glad...its ridiculously easy to do and it hurts like hell]

I'm good. My knees still act up on me and doctors have no clue why. Granted this was pre diabetes but who knows. I honestly had no clue just how much damage diabetes does to the whole body.

i do, eye atrophy leading to blindness, degradation of muscles, 'especialy' int he legs is also common it's not overly uncomon to see long time sufferers of the condition with a prostetic leg or 2 cause there leg went bad
nobody is quite sure if its the disorder, or the medications side effects that causes the damage from what i can gather from the people i've talked to, but as you have to have the meds and insulin...thats a risk you have to take.
