I wouldn't call him "inconsiderate"...he's just hopelessly unaware of stuff. Retsuko herself admits he's a "good guy".

On their date...had she just told him her feet hurt he'd probably stopped walking around, maybe even carried her on his back.

Season 2 will arrive on 2019...it would be fun as hell if they made someone like Washimi (who made fun of Resasuke) end up falling in love with him, without him ever noticing it of course.
