well, I guess I'm exposing my geekery here... but she reminds me of a D&D character I made for laughs... a ninja dedicated to the sun-god *nods* wore a bright yellow-and-white ninja outfit *nods*
*sigh* but I know nothing of Homestucks, I'll be looking it up now though.

There's a bit of D&D influence in the story for sure, along with that of quite a few other game concepts. Careful looking it up, though, it's longer than "Hiawatha"... XP

Something odd about this one.....I think the eyes look a little high on the face or something. Sort of a creepy I have eyes in my forehead type thing going on.
What the hell do I know though.

I messed with that for ages when drawing her, so I know what you mean. A Warner's eyes can normally move freely around the white "clover face" region as though it were the whites of their eyes, but I've never been to sure of how that works when they've got their eyelids down like that, so I may have goofed a bit there.

Title: Priest of Time Land: of Circuits and Tetrads Strife Specibus: first Scythekind, then a scythe blade broke off turning it into Staffkind, currently able to wield Staffkind (preferred for the bonuses to temporal abilities), Scythekind (initially chosen because I thought it'd be cool-looking and high-damage), and 2xScythekind (double bladed scythes, current preferred weapon for this kind is the Dark Templar Energy Scythe, obtained through alchemy [Starcraft 2 Collector's Edition] || [Obsolete Agricultural Implement]. God Tier?: Yes and no, depending on where on my personal timeline you meet me.
At first I thought it would simply be choice irony to have Priest as my title, given my agnostic and mildly anti-religious bent, but fridge brilliance set in as I realized it made perfect sense as it would be a great challenge to convince my rational-thinking fellow players and past selves of the reality of the time traveling, as opposed to the potential of a sinister hoax by the game mechanics to trick us into doing stupid things--since we already know the supposed mechanics of attaining God Tier through reading Homestuck, we'd also be wary of it being a game mechanic intended to trick us into submitting to death. I would have to compile overwhelming evidence to get my fellow players to have faith in me.
tl;dr: BLUH BLUH HUGE POWERGAMER

That's an interesting angle on the whole "quest bed" thing, and now that I think of it, I'm a little surprised that hasn't come up with anyone in the story...

Actually there's good reason for the subject never coming up, the way I see it: John was the first of the human kids to achieve God Tier, and he did so by being tricked by Vriska, thinking it was only a matter of sleep. Vriska was dying already and ordered Tavros to take her to her Quest Cocoon knowing that the lore she'd learned on God Tiers was possibly untrustworthy, but she had very little to lose. (One could say that she was taking a huge gamble given that she could have just let Tavros kiss her, reviving her as her dream self... but if so, one could also remember that Vriska has aaaaaaaall the luck when it comes to gam8ling. ::::)
The rest of the God Tiers we've seen so far were dying anyway: Jade, Dave, and Rose... or had no idea they were fulfilling the requirements for ascension: Aradia (though she may have had some idea given her actions immediately preceding). Once one player in a session ascends, the rest have living evidence that it works...
Also remember that Dave knew for sure it would work and still couldn't go through with slaying his doomed alternate self. One's attitude towards death is quite a personal thing.

I'd just kept hearing murmurs of it over about the past year, and my curiosity finally got the better of me. Took me weeks to get caught up to the present, but I'm glad I did! (also, the hiatus for the end of Act 5 gave me some time)

I've been rereading over the whole thing in preparation for the 11/11 update. Surprisingly easy reading the second time around and finally noticing all the foreshadowing the was in the mix. Interested to see how things are different the second time around.

I'm back, and ready to post weird things nobody knows about! I'll try to be more frequent from now on, I've just come out of the worst creative block in the history of anything ever. =/
