Control over the media you're presented is one of the main way the storytellers lead you though life - almost all media you consume is via personal digital sources - your phone, your computer, your tablet. The articles in the newspaper you read, on the website, could be totally different from the person sitting next to you and reading the same site. Given the effectively infinite amount of media produced across the Endless Empire, the reliance on algorithms to show you what you want to see is very important. Browsing the 'new' queue of your favorite art community isn't feasible when the number of pictures uploaded per second is measured in scientific notation.
The reliance on these algorithms, though, allows the storytellers to influence them. No matter how specific your query, it's perfectly possible for them to find some media that matches their agenda to present to you. Browsing local news can make you calmer, or more agitated, or more adventurous.. all depending on what you're shown. The algorithms are used both for that reason, and because they work. You can always find a movie you'd love but haven't seen, a picture that would move you but you haven't looked at, a song you can get lost in but have never heard...
For those producing, although there's so much produced, there are a million times more eyes as well. Not that Poly has any artistic talent, yet~! At the moment, she's happy to just look at things.
The propaganda aspect of media in the Endless Empire is a little concerning. But I love the idea of being able to browse endlessly and always find something new. I suppose that, to a certain extent, that's possible even in the real world. There are so many people producing new books, pictures, music and even games and films all around the world that I'd imagine it would be impossible to keep up with them all. Even for those of us who are limited by language barriers, there's a dizzying array of new things produced every day. So I can easily imagine how much more rich and diverse the output in the Empire would be. And of course I have a feeling that, when/if Poly starts producing things of her own, she will no doubt be very popular, too!
In the meantime, this is a really adorable picture of her, and that does look like a very comfortable bed. Just the place for tired foxes to take a break and catch up a little on what's new.
I love what the artist has done with her hair. That golden sheen is so pretty! And her little black dress looks fantastic on her as well.

Mm, just a tad~! However, it's one of the most powerful they have in their arsenal of societal engineering! And an important one, for maximizing happiness! Be that whatever measure is required, from HDI to little vixens raped / hr~!
It's possible in the real world (at the moment now) to an extent, but it can be a lot of work to find something you really like, and you have to wade though so much you don't like / is okay. As opposed to having everything you'll love served to you on a silver platter~! But yes, there's already more produced than can be consumed by any one person~! And mm, hopefully! It'll be a while for that, though. Poly's not talented at it, and she has an issue where if she's not immediately great at a thing from the word go she gives up on it.
