Character Sheet for Seleena Silvermane
Background/History
Seleena was born and raised in a village in the northern mountainlands on her home planet Keldor. Her clan, and the other clans in the area were peaceful and hospitable. The village elders even allowed the study of light magic, which was seen as the power of the gods and therefore banned as blasphemy in the rest of the world. Seleena was the only student of the clan leader´s younger brother, and a fast learner.
But, one day the wolfs from even further north came to the villages and with them came the darkness. The ones that stayed in the village began to poison the villager´s hearts and minds with greed, anger and intolerance towards everything that was different.
It wasn´t long until the clan leader was overthrown and his brother killed for teaching the magic of the gods. He was bound to the main supporting pillar of his house and an enchanted silver nail was driven through his heart to kill him. His soul would be forever trapped in the nail and he would have to endure the pain and agony of his dead body decomposing. 19 year old Seleena, who had to watch the ritual execution, then had her eyes gouged out and was brought into the snowy forests to be left to die. It was there when she was found by a party of traveling merchants who took her south and dropped her at the house of a befriended alchemist who took care of the blind girl and helped her to get used to a life without vision. Two years later Seleena returned to her home village, whose population joined the wolves´ war against the other races, and retrieved the silver nail in which the soul of her teacher and mentor was trapped inside, now wearing it as a pendant, seeing it as her most valuable possession.
Many years later, she was on her way to pick herbs for some potions when suddenly a strange portal opened in front of her. Not being able to hear, or smell the portal Seleena stumbled right through it and was thrown into a strange, unfamilliar world that was in the middle of a fight of humans against their occupying alien forces.
Body
Seleena is slim, but able to defend herself, using her ritual dagger. Since most people underestimate her because of her blindness, she usually has the moment of surprise on her side.
Her ability to use light magic gives her highly potent healing possibilities.
Also, she is able to concentrate light into lightning bolts that she can weaponize.
Clothing
Standard women´s garment of her home region. She always wears a silver nail pendant. Also always wears a blindfold to hide her empty eyesockets as their sight often scares people off.
