Music for Strings No. 2
Music for Piano No. 3 (Fade Away)
This was the midterm project for my theory IV class.

originally it was meant to be a piece for piano and voice, with the lyrics being a classical poem set to the music.... well it really wasnt something i wanted to do, but i enjoyed the harmonies that i created. so i decided to save the work and redo it with more interesting accompaniment and create a better melody, making this another work for solo piano!

thank you very much! theres some really different stuff in this piece, and part of that is because of the requirements of the assignment. there are 4 different keys with 4 different methods of modulation (technically 5 if you count a couple measures that hang on a Dmajor chord right after the key of Bminor)

it was a bit of a tricky one to work out a melody that sounded pleasing yet fit over an overflowing cascading chord progression that was about as stable as a flowing stream
