Here is yet another drawing I am finally finishing. It is a picture of a mother griffon and her newborn baby griffon. In my character's household, he has a number of pet griffons and the mother shown here is the matriarch and mother of all the griffons on the grounds.
The baby griffon under her wing is baby Mittens the griffon. This picture is drawn with the idea in mind to be like an old photograph, showing Mittens when he was just a cute newborn baby griffon. Mittens was last portrayed in this picture attempting to get D. Dan to play catch with him. https://www.furaffinity.net/view/7186922/
Whereas the mother, shown sheltering and being motherly to baby Mittens, the father and alpha of all the griffons on the Dan family estate often stays near Lord Dan himself, much like a loyal hound is to an English Lord. The alpha and father of Mittens the griffon was last pictured in this image with Lord Dan in his office. https://www.furaffinity.net/view/5673233/
In the Dan family, the griffons that are kept indoors tend to be the alpha male, the matriarch griffon, new born hatchlings and any griffon offspring that are too runt like to be outdoors as protectors and guards of the estate. Mittens is one such offspring griffon. He likes wearing mittens all the time (hence the name) due to, in his youth, having casts on his front paws and / or front legs due to being too runt like and unable to defend himself from siblings. He is also noted for having weak bones in his front legs as well. Despite all this, the Dan family keeps all there griffons and is a welcome and playful addition to the household, especially with the children of the manor.
