I've tried that belief, but I am more on the side of philosophy. Though, still, a nice image, of course I don't see all demons as bad, example the Kitsuné in Japanese beliefs, kitsunés are a trickster spirit, but they do trick people for good reason, depending on the kitsuné's intent.
