This is an map I have been working on. It is the map of the imperial city that D. Dan lives in. I had meant for this to be a quick sketch, but it has turned into a long project with tedious and precise attention to the layout of the streets. ^\/^.
For a while I have had dreams every so often of this place which is an alternate dimension and history of the city of Augusta, GA. It is so prevalent in fact that several of my drawings include scenery that can be found in the layout of this map. When I finish it I will include two version. One would be the finished draft and the other will include numbers indicating which drawings take place where on this map. ^\/^.
As a short description of this city, it has a bay since the ocean reaches Augusta due to a difference of how the continents formed. Also, it has an epic like large wall nearly a mile thick and the city has two rivers running through it. One leads to a large waterfall into the ocean while the other, more leveled and slow one, is lead along a long wall running the side of the cliff and along the ocean shore to the west to feed fresh water to the farm lands. It also acts as part of the two moats that surround the city. ^\/^.
The land in between the two moats also has farmland and a few small towns (that I have yet to add). There is also a rail road looping in between as well with a road along side it. The rail line and side road lead into the city as well. ^\/^.
Though the main roads are the massive elevated avenues called The Royal Highways and act like normal highways, only with an avenue atmosphere and parks adorning along every stretch of the way. All the Royal Highways lead to the Imperial Castle which sits high upon a man made mountain with plateau on top. In fact, though the walls are very high, the walls are built as both protection and reinforcement since the city is also built on top of a man made plateau. This makes the city very near impossible to breach and take over. LOL. ^\/^.
The city has a lot of monumental sized buildings. One is a large cathedral that exceeds the length of 2 miles and is one of the largest churches in the world. Another is a large civics project that is still under construction and is being built in celebration of the city's Septcentennial or the celebration of it's 700 years since the city has been founded. The Royal University is also one such wonder and is where D. Dan went to school at. It is one of the finest universities in the world. The other wonders I intend to add have yet to be made up, but they will come in time whenever I finish this map. LOL. ^\/^.
Just a note, I realize that the map is turned 90 degrees clockwise. As such, treat the bottom part of the map as the part facing east, the top part facing west, the right hand side as facing north and the left hand side as facing south. Whoopsy me, eh. LOL. ^\/^.
