So my freind is trying to teach me the Pascal programming language using Free Pascal compiler. The problem he has not touched this language in years but still thinks he knows it all. Meanwhile, I'm going in with a fresh and open mind.

Right now he is teaching me how to use raw memory management in the language. The problem is his lack of continues use of the language made him rusty. He is currently stumped on one example that was meant to teach me but it keeps crashing. You can imagine the look on my face.

This is where Lazarus Pascal comes in. You see, he uses an text editor with a language-independent debugger while I'm using Free Pascal's Lazarus IDE. Sometimes I like to call it "Lazzy" because it makes me think of the running cheetah gif on their site. Now, normally I don't go into text editor vs IDE debate but I decided to debug his code myself - again.  After removing the parts of the code that made it crash, I noticed it still ran and only gave a warning. This confirmed my hunch. His current example doesn't require raw access to memory in order to work. So I decided to write my own version of his code in order to prove it and I was right. So, I thought to myself, "Lazzy, you're a good kitty." Then decided to make Lazarus Pascal, a cheetah who works for TPaw as a programmer.
