Okay, so silly post aside, this is something that's been on my mind for a while. I've been working at saving up enough to get one of those cheapo chinese tablet displays (Shush, I know they're not wacom quality, but I'm careful with my equipment so it'll be fine) and I've been slowly chipping away at that with commissions.
To no surprise, it's slow, which makes sense. I'm a slow drawer, who's also not that popular because he doesn't do the popular chars, only the odd and obscure ones, and has a cheap generic style that leaves much to be desired in the eyes of disappointed people. And with Yeti Troubles going on, it'll be even slower as half of the week is devoted to making each page :x
For a while I didn't consider the viability of a tip jar until recently when a crazy person (You know who you are, I'm still doing something for you) sent me a tip, and they said some really nice words of my art being good and wanting to support it (I know, I can't believe it either).
And since then I've been thinking that maybe I could set up a tip jar and people won't be fiercely opposed to a mediocre artist asking for money.
Truth be told, there's a bit of embarrassment that comes with me setting this up, as I am not the kind of person who likes to just receive things without doing some kind of work for it (Pride is my sin among others). But it's far more elegant than a paypal link, and far less daunting than a Patreon, and a selfish side of me really wants to get that tablet display and experience the wonders of drawing on a screen (And hopefully get way better at art by not having to undo so much). So there's that owo
I'm debating it in my head right now if I want to put the link in the end of submission descriptions or not, I didn't think that far ahead, but it's not something I'll be shoving in people's faces.
But yeah, that's about it owo sorry for the long winded post, I needed to get my concerns and inhibitions out .w. ...
