Another fellow maney!

By far the largest and most-complex piece I've done to date - I actually had to go buy a larger drawing board!

Tribal, tinkering and tuning on his Mercedes 300SL, while Blue looks on at the holo-manual for info. I did my best to make the shop seem old and well-used, belying it's futuristic setting.

Gads, chrome is such a pain to get right...

Chrysocyon brachyurus and Canis lupus familiaris

Prismacolors and Bombay India ink on 14x17 bristol.

That chrome is fabulous!
Still, I'd think that someone smart enough to operate a Bridgeport would know that you don't sit on fenders, much less a gullwing, or even a 300SL

So many compliments on the chrome... (it does look good, I admit)

Well... maybe it's hers? I know I wouldn't mind if she sat on my fender. :3

Bad on a Hyundai......unforgivable on sixty year old German aluminum. As I recall, that was hand formed aluminum, over a steel tube birdcage frame. Actually got to sit in one of these- back when they were only worth a hundred grand or so......

Got to tool around in one (as a passenger) a little bit, at a Cars and Coffee meet some years ago. Rather unremarkable as far as the ride goes... but a really beautifully made car.
