This little series indeed permanent transformations. However, think of PAW Patrol like a book. The canon series is Earth, and there are thousands of alternate worlds circling it as smaller asteroids. Poppy and her Master are visiting a 'meteor' of this world, and when they leave with the pups, it'll have no long term on the pups at all, as it was these alternate versions who were taken. Even Poppy knows better to damage the 'planet' in this case when meteors fall all the time. So the pups are you know them are fine, while this copy of them is taken.

Well, I'm a Night Fury with the military rank of an commander, who does nothing but searching for other dragons in other dimension/realities to fight a darkness that will rise in around twenty to thirty years and that could wipe out whole planets with ease. I don't think I would be that willing as no one else can use the ancient dragon portal I'm using to travel between the dimension/realities.
(But my weaknes are diapers and soft things as they weaken me and make me unable to use any kind of attack move.)
