Spyro has a Dark Variant and a Legendary Variant officially, I made a Light Variant for him.
The following incident takes place between Skylanders: Trap Team and Skylanders: SuperChargers.
When the Skylanders failed to stop Nightshade from stealing the Eternal Dark Source, Spyro, Cynder, Knight Light, Spotlight, and Sparx travel to the Light Realm, and find the Eternal Light Source which is the only way to defeat Akura.
After the Corrupted Doom Raiders *Transformed by Lord Akura* defeated the LightCore Skylanders, the Eternal Light Source Transformed Spyro into Light Spyro, there he defeated the Doom Raiders and reverted them back to normal, then he fights Akura, and defeated him by using his Radiant breath, which turned Akura into a Dark Onyx statue. Light Spyro thought he saved all of Skylands from Akura, but Master Eon warned him that Korrupted Kaos *Also transformed by Lord Akura* went out to destroy the Core of Light, so he went out to stop him.
Light Spyro defeated Korrupted Kaos and reverts him back to normal, thus saving Skylands and recovered the Eternal Dark Source.
Both the Eternal Light and Dark Sources were later added to the Core of Light to be more powerful and be able to move into any desired location in case danger comes.
The list of characters and/or drawings were originally drawn on the 3DS Game Notes then traced on Comic Workshop 2.
