Just before the final confrontation with her murderous nemesis, Commander Townshend Grayson, a surprise waited idly upon the abandoned, dim lit cathedral's altar.. Corpses and withering lives blooded round the steps and rows. All prepared, for her dearest daughter. A most terrifying reunion..
"When was the last time we played together, cherry blossom?"
Was it the REAL Izumi Shouhei? Wasn't she.. DEAD? Or, did T. Grayson accomplish his mission during that fateful day (The murder)? Either way, Shun longed for that sweet motherly embrace again, hoping to the high heavens this COULD be real.. But no. A definite NO- Her mother stands before her as a cloned killing machine. A special gift/ trap from Townshend himself, to his favorite pray (Shun). Mental Grinder (T. Grayson) strikes once again..

That Final Battle HAD to commence whether she wanted to fight her own mother, or not. A most cruel fate: "Spent your life drudging over all that training, so as to gain the power to overcome any obstacle." "That of which you lost and loved SO dearly is now your most formidable 'threat'." "You were supposed to have the strength to 'protect' her, no?... Now, you must use it to KILL her, as I have! Terror, confusion, longing, love, horror, motivation, past, present, sadness, mourning, loss, lies, truth, fear, death, life, and despair... Shun's world rapidly spins in a most cruel battle to come...

Prelude to a bloody and tragic battle the occurs after Shun's PAINFUL victory over her mother.. and lose to T. Grayson.
"You're useless to me now." - T. Grayson
(Sniper shot ambush, torturing her wounds; A wounded Xave, having survived a series of explosions, arrives at the cathedral (Sometime after rescued captains from the cathedral-- via exchange/ Shun's visit alone for 5 detained captains-- suddenly were remotely detonated at his checkpoint) just before the final blow could be dealt upon Shun. He force pushes T. Grayson hard into a wall monument, then hurriedly treats Shun's injuries best he can, and gets shot down... But then, rises up in shear ANGER after realizing who he was laying next to (a dead Izumi Shouhei). Clearly, T. Grayson was had been screwing with Shun's head, too.. And in the worst way..
I don't usually post dark stuff like this, but it gives further depth into the story of Shun and Xave before things got brighter. -u-;; I just added a little more.
