Racing her way out of the pyramid, Alicia darted through the plaza that spanned before her, shooting past Chris's carriage in the blink of an eye right in front of Rapidash, the stallion jolting and blinking in surprise as the wind Alicia kicked up made his mane waft in the direction she'd ran. Looking toward her, the snake had already shrank in the distance, escaping into the city streets until turning into an alley with a dead end. Looking around, Alicia was hyperventilating as her pupils trembled the same as her body, flashbacks of the memories she'd pushed to the back of her mind now rushing to the forefront of her thoughts as she paced to and fro, trying to shake off her rattled state. High above her, Serenity watched Alicia's behavior from the rooftops, looking down in more ways than one at the way the snake had run and hidden herself away. With a look of agitation showing and the eye Chris had given her glowing, Serenity took a step off the roof and lowered herself into the alley, standing at the entrance as Alicia, so caught up in her chaotic state of mind, failed to notice as she continued pacing. "...Not have place to go snake." Serenity spoke up, causing Alicia to jolt and face her with terror in her eyes. "...Look at way you acting. Look at what you do... Look at where you at." Serenity added. "You see human, it make you run. Make you run like worm! You so scared, you trap self at dead end, not even care if get out or not. You just go back and forth like no way out when it right here. But you too scared to leave..." she went on. "You always act high and mighty, act like so proud, then when get chance to show who you become, you show true color." she lectured as Alicia faced away. "I-It's him..." the snake replied nervously.

"That all the more reason to face!" Serenity snapped. "After all that happen, you have chance I only dream of!" she continued. "I spend all time WISHING to find human that do what he do to me! I give anything to get back at him! You finally get that chance and you run!" the Pokemon lectured, Alicia gritting her teeth with slight sweat showing. "Not only you run from human who hurt you, you run from human that help you." Serenity point out. "You so scared of human from past it make you attack human who do so much good for you, so scared you not able to tell them apart!" she added. "I didn't mean...!!" Alicia tried to respond, only to face away again, gritting her teeth once more. "Way you attack Chris one thing, even worse is you leave him behind with that other human. He know what that one do to you, he SEE what that one do to you, now he one having to stand up for you. What happen if he do something to that human for YOU and get in trouble?! Other humans always watching him at every turn! They see what he do and get in trouble because you run away!" Serenity reminded, causing Alicia to jolt wide eyed. "You not brave enough to face human, but he is, and..." Serenity paused, glancing away. "I not... Think he do much different than what I do if I found human who hurt me... Could tell how he felt, saw look in eyes I not see him have before." she went on. "Leaving him alone with that human like leaving tiny bug in front of big giant. It not end well, I not think." she affirmed. "After way you always act, you leave problem to other person. You run and let other stand for you. If this who you really are, then you not have right to hold head high like you do... Not have right to be with human who do so much to help you!" Serenity point out.

"I be first to admit, I love to see him take that human down. Nothing excite me more, make me happier." she confessed, biting her lip eagerly with her hands together against her chest before relaxing and letting out a sigh. "But... I also know what happen to him if he do... Even if make me feel good to see him beat up human, not right to let bad thing happen to him for doing it." Serenity admit. "Timid bunny not have it in her to stop if he try to hurt that human, he need us. But you run away, and because he worry about you, make me follow. Now we both waste time because of way you act." she affirmed with her arms crossed. "The way you run from that human, it no different than telling Chris you were waste of his time..." Serenity sneered. "All he do for you, he even lower self for you! I know what he do for you that time, act like servant so you feel good..." she revealed, referring to when Chris put on his butler act. "H-How did you..." Alicia asked. "I-I never asked him t...!!" she tried to add, only for Serenity to deliver a powerful smack across the snakes face with an aura of psychic energy engulfing her hand to strengthen the blow when Alicia's face got close to hers, the impact sending Alicia back with a look of shock, her cheek covered by Serenity's mark. "You not get near me." Serenity sneered again. "Make me sick!" she snapped. "THIS is girl I compete with?! I think of you like rival!! And now find out you this weak?! That insult to me as much as it insult to Chris!! I thought you worth fighting with!! He thought you worth loving!! Then you turn out like this?! What WRONG with you?!" she asked. "You BIGGER than that human now!! You STRONGER than him!! What reason you got to be scared now?! That human nothing!!" Serenity affirmed.

"After all Chris do to help you. After all we go through together... STUPID snake!! You take on OCEAN to save his life, then run when you see TINY human?! It make NO sense!! Think about what happen after Chris take you in!!" she reminded. "Think of way he feed you, way he train WITH you!!" Serenity went on, approaching the snake. "Think of fights you win!! Think of way he almost DIE for you same way you almost die for him!! Because you see human from past, you forget that?! You forget progress?!!" Serenity shout, gritting her teeth while taking Alicia's badge in hand, the snake jolting while stuttering. "This badge... If this who you really are, this badge a lie!! He give you badge as sign of being strong, as sign you grow!! But you... You no different than tiny Pokemon he take in first place, you still weak!! Still coward!! You not deserve!!" she affirmed before she began pulling on it, stressing the necklace. "E-Enough!! Enough!!" Alicia panicked, trying to pull away only to stress the necklace more. "You not deserve!! You not deserve badge, you not deserve Chris, you not deserve life if this who you really are!! If after all he do, if after all YOU do, this how you STILL are, then you should have DIED!! You worth NOTHING!!" Serenity affirmed, pulling the badge even harder before driving Alicia to finally retaliate, the snake snapping "NO!!" before catching Serenity in her tail and slamming her against the wall. Surprising herself with the strength she put into the attack, Alicia quickly released Serenity as the Pokemon coughed and stood back up. "...You THAT strong, and still you RUN..." she groaned before looking up. "STUPID snake!!" she repeat as Alicia looked down, seemingly reflecting on the moment.

"With body that big, THAT strong, all it take... ONE squeeze... And that human finished." Serenity affirmed. "If snake had BRAIN, would know that, would take ADVANTAGE, but too stupid." she point out with a cough. "I-I apologize..." Alicia replied. "Not apologize to me..." Serenity sneered yet again, openly showing her disgust. "After what you do... Not say anything to me right now." she added coldly. "I call you names in past, yell and fight with you lots... But still..." she paused, looking down. "Still saw you as good rival. Still thought you okay to have around. Way we yell and fight, it give rush when bored... I thought you good for Chris in own ANNOYING way..." she revealed before looking at Alicia with her teeth grit again. "You just ruin that..." Serenity affirmed. "It took long time for me to think that way, even after way you annoy me and things you do to me...." she finished in a somehow disappointed manner despite her irritated tone, Alicia showing her own guilt and frustration while facing away. "...You keep badge, fine. But it not mean you worth anything. It not mean you have right to be with Chris. It just a lie..." Serenity repeat, making her way toward the entrance of the alley. "...Or prove me wrong?" she asked, looking back at the snake before approaching the corner. "You can rot here in dead end or come out and face problem. It up to you..." she added before walking off. Looking at the ground, Alicia continued thinking over the situation before finally making her way toward the entrance of the alley herself, her hesitation making her pause before taking a breath and rounding the corner as well, making her way along toward Serenity as the Pokemon pushed passerby's out of her way in agitation.

"I-I'm coming..." Alicia spoke up. "Why you tell me? Not need to say it, just do it." Serenity scowled, getting a silent nod as they made their way back the way they'd came. After a moment however, the two were stopped in their tracks when hearing "It's Nakazaki!" from a nearby crowd. With both jolting at the same time, the two made their way into the gathering, finding themselves before a display window of a shop showcasing countless TV's within. "Listen to me!!" they heard Chris shout, the young man now on the ground beneath him in the plaza before the glass pyramid as Chris tightly gripped his coat. "Too late..." Serenity muttered. "You sick bastard... That's not who she is! That's not what she is! Alicia's more than that!" he affirmed, the young man looking shocked and unnerved combined. "H-Hey man! Come on! I was just saying the facts!" he panicked. "Bullshit!!" Chris snapped, shoving the young man's back against the ground as the screens zoomed in on his enraged expression, Alicia noticing the same look in his eyes Serenity had mentioned. "Yeah... She's a Pokemon, so what?! What the hell gives you the right to treat anyone that way, huh?! What gives you the right to use them like that?!" Chris asked. "Listen to me..." he growled, the young man facing away with his eyes tightly shut. "I SAID LISTEN!!" Chris roared, getting the young man to look at him after being roughly shaken with sweat on his face. "She's not just a Pokemon, she's not just a damned Serperior either!! You get this now and you get it RIGHT, you hear me?!" he ordered. "Alicia... Alicia!! SAY IT!!" he affirmed. "A-A...!!" the young man struggled. "I can't hear you!!" Chris snapped, forgetting to control his grip.

Nearby, Rose could be seen inching back from the scene, a look of terror on her face as Chris lost himself. "We need to go." Serenity muttered, only to pause as Alicia continued watching. "You bastard... I gave you a chance, the chance you NEVER gave her, and all you did was talk shit!! Her name's Alicia, you hear me?! Don't you EVER forget it!!" Chris insisted. "Damn you... Damn you..." he growled, shoving the young man's back against the ground repeatedly. Seeing and hearing his behavior, Alicia found herself stricken by how personally Chris was being affected from what the young man had done to her, the experience of what she watched far exceeding what she'd felt when Serenity had suggested he would attack him for her sake. "You'll never, NEVER find another one like her!! If she were here right now..." Chris went on before the screen focused on tears beginning to stream from his eyes. "You... You bastard..." he hicked through his rage. "The way she ran... After everything, she still ran from you... What the hell...?" he paused, the young man looking at Chris as though he were insane. "You sick fuck... Just how badly did you scar her...?" he asked, the scene causing Alicia to shed tears of her own. "She's a Nakazaki, you hear me...?" Chris suddenly exclaimed, causing her eyes to widen. "She's a Nakazaki!! A NAKAZAKI!! Nobody, NOBODY fucks with my family!!" he affirmed before he started hitting the young man's back on the ground again. "...Even after what you just do, he give you his name... He not even hesitate to call you that, even with world watching." Serenity point out as Alicia did all she could to avoid breaking down in the midst of the crowd, tightly biting her lip as it trembled the same as the rest of her body.

"Yo... Nakazaki's lost it..." a man muttered nearby. "Isn't he a good guy though...? I dunno..." a woman added. "He did save a kid the other day..." another point out. "Looks like a soap show to me... Just about some Pokemon instead... What was it? He said a Serperi..." another man was about to say, only to pause as he and the crowd looked at the girls. "We go now." Serenity insisted, Alicia following as they quickly made their way back to the plaza. By the time they'd arrived, Chris had started subconsciously releasing Ninetales aura from his spine, looking like a mane lit with rage. "Th-The hell are you man?!" the young man panicked when he saw the aura, thinking Chris was some type of demon as his eyes grew sharp and reddened. "I want you to look at me, and never, NEVER forget my face... Because I swear, if I ever see you again..." Chris threatened, leaning toward the young mans face with his teeth grit, revealing how sharp they'd become. "C-Come on!! It's just a Pokemon man!! Ease up, ease up!!" the young man panicked, his eyes widened in terror. Hearing this, Chris suddenly reeled his fist back, engulfing it in a powerful blaze that made the girls eyes widen. Ready to put his strength into delivering a blow, just as he was about to send it smashing into the young man's face Alicia shot a vine out, snatching Chris's wrist and yanking it back. Struggling to pull his fist forward, the blaze around Chris's fist grew, his arm trembling until Alicia shout his name, making Chris pause and look back with both rage and tears in his eyes. Seeing his expression, in a way the snake saw a reflection of herself, seeing the same pain and frustration in his face until wincing when Chris's fist began burning her vine.

Jolting, he looked at the fire around his hand and quickly put it out, his expression turning to one of fear, likely of himself as he returned his focus to the young man beneath him. Quickly letting go, Chris backed away, looking at his hands as his eyes returned to normal. "I-I uh... I..." he stuttered as the young man stood up, coughing and stumbling. "F-Fucking crazy... You're crazy!" he point. "A-Are you... Okay?" Chris asked, looking at Alicia as she examined the marks on her vine. "I'm... Fine..." she nodded, taking a breath before slowly facing the young man before them. "You... It's really you...?" the young man asked, looking at the snake. "I-I almost..." Chris muttered, continuing to look at his hands as Serenity embraced him. "It okay... Not do anything wrong." she coaxed as he noticed Rose looking up at him. "I-I'm sor...!!" he began to say, only for the Pokemon to run up and hug him as well, holding him tightly. "...Can you let me speak to that man?" Alicia suddenly asked, Chris and the girls looking at her. "Why I do that for you?" Serenity replied. "...I ask you to let me." the snake repeat. Looking at her for a moment, Serenity sighed before looking at the young man, her eyes letting off another glow and nodding. "It done. Talk now." she instructed. "...I'm outta here. You're all...!!" the young man began, cut off when Alicia called his name making him jolt in surprise. "I said hello... Derek." the snake repeat, causing his eyes to widen. "It's me..." she assured with a nod. "So... You really DID evolve." he replied. "Doesn't seem like it did you much good... Why bother turning into that if you're still the same as you were before?" he asked, Serenity looking at Alicia after having said the same thing in the alley.

Looking down for a moment, Alicia faced Chris as he continued looking at the hand he'd almost punched Derek with, having to come to terms with the way he'd nearly used Ninetales power on a person without restraint out of his own anger. "...I'm sorry." Alicia apologized, causing him to jolt and look at the snake. "If I hadn't..." she paused, facing down just as ashamed of herself. "...I apologize." she repeat, facing Derek again. "You... Didn't you say you could easily find another one of my kind?" Alicia asked. "...What?" he replied with an irritated look. "On that day you left me... You said you could easily find another of my kind to evolve for you. That we are, what was it? A dime a dozen?" Alicia went on. "You said you could just find another, one that would obey you and grow..." she reminded. "...Well? Where is it?" she asked as Derek let out a "tch" of annoyance. "Where's the Serperior you said I'd see you with?" she added as he looked away. "...I was trash, was I not?" she continued. "Perhaps, at the time, I was. And yet... I'd like to think, despite my shortcomings, both then..." she paused, looking at Chris. "And now..." she added, returning her focus to Derek. "I've still become something, someone, worthy of what and who I am today, of where I am, of..." she paused, glancing at Serenity before facing down. "Who I'm with..." she finished. "Why should I care...? The way you acted proves you're a waste of that guys time as much as you were of mine." Derek affirmed, looking at Chris. "Even if he's too soft to admit it..." he added, Serenity and Rose looking at Derek as well. "A Serperior that runs away, a Gardevoir and a Lopunny that cuddle their trainer like a baby..." he sneered. "Some team..." he added.

"You've got some weird power Nakazaki, but that doesn't give you the right to attack people. I outta turn you in for what you did, jumping on me like that and threatening me..." Derek warned, adjusting his coat as the remark made Serenity's eyes wide out of her own rage. "Freaks like you, with your Pokemon hang-up's... You treat animals like people, trying to act like you're somehow better because of it... You're just another guy with a weird fetish who happens to have weird powers to top it off... That's the only reason you get away with stuff. If it wasn't for you being able to do things like they showed on TV you'd already be in jail." Derek insulted. "After what you were about to do to me... You deserve it." he added, Chris trapped in a position where he couldn't agree nor' deny what was being said after attacking him. Losing her own control, Serenity was abut to make her way toward Derek, only for Alicia to stop her with her tail out. "Move snake!!" she snapped, only for Alicia to look at Chris, now cornered by the same man who'd pushed her in a corner because of leaving the two men alone with one another. Turning her attention toward Derek, the snake looked down for a moment before nodding and facing him. "You used to like making deals... You'd bet money, even Pokemon, how about making one with me?" Alicia asked, causing Derek to raise his eyebrow. "A bet with you...?" he asked. "Why should I?" he added as she looked at Chris again. "...Why don't we have a battle?" Alicia suggested, returning her attention to Derek. "If we win, you forget about what happened and agree to let him go, no charges." she insisted. "Tsh... If I win?" he asked, crossing his arms. "If you do..." the snake paused, looking down before closing her eyes and taking a breath.

"Well... I'll return to you." she offered with a nod, causing Chris's eyes to widen while Derek thought it over. "You can't do that! You don't know what he...!!" Chris tried to warn as Alicia looked down at him. "This wouldn't have happened if I hadn't acted as I had... This should have been my fight from the start. She was right." the snake point out, looking at Serenity while Chris noticed the mark on her face. Reaching out, she backed away, assuring him she was alright. "I just had a little sense knocked into me... I can't say I expected it from the source that sense came from though." Alicia explained while Serenity glanced away. "You're in a sticky situation for taking action on my part. If we're to be together, if I'm to stay by your side without shame... It has to be earned." she insisted. Looking up at the snake, after a moment Serenity coaxed Chris back. "Let her do what want." she insisted. "B-But..." he panicked as Derek pulled his coat out, revealing the Pokeball's within. Taking one in hand, he looked down at it while he continued to decide. "However!" Alicia spoke up, making Derek jolt. "Even if we lose, you still have to agree not to press charges!" she insisted, wanting to keep Chris out of trouble either way. "...Snake sure about this? Need to stand up, but way you try to do it risky." Serenity point out. "...There's a way I can put you to use I guess." Derek replied, looking at Alicia. "But not with you, I don't bet with animals!" he affirmed before focusing on Chris, making him jolt wide eyed. "You... I want YOU to bet that Serperior against me..." Derek smirked. "You're big and bad using that power of yours... Got the balls to put your Pokemon on the line too?" he asked, turning the tide and making Chris unnerved instead.

"From a beast to a Skitty, like Pokemon like trainer..." Derek grinned. Looking up, Rose showed a look of concern as Chris began sweating, Serenity and Alicia looking at him as well. "...You do it?" Serenity asked. "I-I uh... I ca..." he tried to reply. Showing a small smile, Alicia used the end of her tail to pat him on the back. "Go on... Do it for me." she insisted. "Y-You're really sure about this...?" he asked, getting a nod in response. "We all have our crossroads in life... This one is mine." she explained, looking at Derek again. "...I want this fight." she added as he looked at Derek as well. "...Do you believe in me?" she asked. "Y-You know I do!" Chris assured. "Then you have no reason to worry." she grinned, causing his eyes to widen before looking down. "I've got the cops right here!" Derek warned, showing his dex with the number for the authorities displayed. "I might not get much out of winning... But it'll make me feel pretty good knocking you down a peg after what you did..." he affirmed. Looking at Alicia again, Chris showed a hesitant look, only to get another nod. "Don't worry... You're not the one making the bet... I am. I just ask that you have faith in me." she assured. "...Will you?" she asked before he faced Derek and nodded. "...Alright, I agree." he replied. "Then we have a deal. You lose, that Serperior's mine and you walk off." Derek smirked. "And if we win, you walk off." Chris replied before looking at Alicia once more, the snake taking another breath before making her way forward. "Of course I plan to use ALL of my Pokemon, that's six in total to your one." Derek point out, Alicia standing straight while Chris did the same. Suddenly however, Serenity walked up as well, standing next to the snake with her arms crossed.

"Make two to six!" she interrupted, causing Alicia to look down at her in surprise. "Weren't you the one shaming me a moment ago...? Now you wish to help?" the snake asked. "Not get wrong. I only join to get back at that human for talking big. He get on nerves." Serenity waved. "It not about you." she added with a scowl, Alicia looking at her for a moment before showing a smirk. "Very well." she replied. "...Look at that." Chris muttered, showing a small smile of his own as he looked at the girls backs, Rose clinging to the back of his coat with a guilty look on her face. "Hey... Don't worry about it." he assured, rubbing the rabbit on the head. "Your support is enough." he nodded, the two watching the girls together as Derek showed a smirk of his own. "I don't think it'll make much of a difference, but hey, it's like the song says, be my guest." he shrugged. Suddenly clapping her hands together, Serenity let off a blinding flash before tossing her clothes to Chris, catching her sweater while her pants hit him in the face, having used the light as a chance to change as she stood in her normal form. "That was convenient." Alicia point out. "Not want looked at by world." Serenity scowled. "So she can be modest..." the snake teased, only to get an agitated "shut up" in response. "You ready to start then?!" Derek asked, the group nodding in response. "Ready when you are..." Chris agreed as Derek held out his Pokedex, the device mentioning the area being unsuitable for battle since it lacked an arena and was near a landmark before it shot out tiny projectiles that latched themselves to the ground around them, each letting off a flash and creating walls around them, placing both parties in a box-like arena.

"I didn't know they could do that..." Chris muttered, taking out and looking at his own device. "I don't wanna get fined for damaging anything fighting you losers." Derek point out, making Serenity twitch an eye. "That's how he is. It got to me too back then... Try living with it." Alicia muttered. Looking back at Derek, Chris watched as he took out all of his Pokeball's, showing a grin before tossing them up in the air. With each popping open with a familiar flash of red, his team appeared behind him, including a Hariyama, an Emboar, a Golurk, a Tyrantrum, an Haxorus, and a Dragonite, causing Chris's eyes to widen. "Some team..." he muttered. "Big Pokemon just mean big targets." Serenity assured, hitting her fist into her palm. "We needn't concern about missing our mark." Alicia smirked. "Big doesn't mean easy... You'll have to watch out for that Golurk and Dragonite, they're fast as hell." Chris warned, pointing out the two Pokemon for the girls. "I'm surprised some of those Pokemon are with a guy like him... He doesn't strike me as the type they'd want to hang with..." he added. "Weak minded ones will stick with anyone..." Alicia reminded, thinking back on how she herself traveled with Derek in the past. "Guess it's up to you to change their minds then." Chris nodded, the two looking back with nods of their own. "So how do you wanna do this? One on one? Two on two?" Derek asked. "We'll do...!!" Chris tried to respond, only for Alicia to interrupt with an "All at once!" answer of her own, catching both men by surprise before Derek laughed. "Are you crazy?!" he asked as his Pokemon gathered before him as Derek pat his fist in his palm. "Oohhh, that's right..." he paused before grinning. "You always were a mental case..." he added.

Looking down, Alicia took a breath as Serenity glanced at the snake. "You sure you ready?" she asked. "I'm fine... Just reflecting..." Alicia assured, the two facing their opponents once more. "Look who it is boys! It's the Snivy we dumped!" Derek point out, causing his Pokemon to jolt before looking at Alicia in surprise. "...You've all changed. Too bad you stuck with him..." Alicia replied, his Pokemon looking at one another. "Looks like we'll get to see who turned out the best in the end. If he's worth the time you spent with him, this battle will prove it." the snake added. "You're a wuss raised by a wuss, we're not worried." Derek affirmed with a smirk, his Pokemon glancing back at him before collectively taking a fighting stance. "You ready girls?" Chris asked, taking his staff he'd dropped fighting Derek in hand before setting it down firmly by his side. "I ready, need good fight." Serenity nodded. "I as well." Alicia assured. "Alright... I'll drop a few pointers so don't be afraid to have your backs turned now and then... I'll help watch your surroundings, that way you can focus on whoever you want without worrying about the rest." Chris assured. "Well, it's like I said, I don't make deals with animals. You okay with all against all Nakazaki?" Derek asked. "If that's how the girls want it, I've got no right to object on this one." Chris shook his head. "Alright then, everybody ready?!" Derek shout, his Pokemon readying themselves to charge. "Good luck you two... Remember, I'll help too." Chris assured as the girls got ready to attack as well, nodding in response. Outside of the arena barrier, crowds of citizens and reporters alike were gathering to watch as the two parties stared each other down, Derek crossing his arms with a smirk while Chris gripped his staff with a stern look of his own.

"GO!!" both men shout simultaneously before their Pokemon charged toward one another, the blast of air from behind causing Chris and Derek's coats to blow back. As their fight began, reporters outside the barrier grew nearer, airing "Public dispute leads to battle royale at the Louvre!" as their headline. "Holly's gonna kill us..." Chris thought to himself with slight sweat showing before watching Hariyama try to land a blow with its massive hand against Serenity, only for Alicia to block it with a collision against her Iron Tail, the move causing Chris's mouth to open as the blast from the impact made the other Pokemon inch back in defence. "H-How did she learn...?" he muttered as the two struggled against one another, their teeth grit. "N-Not bad..." Alicia growled, her tail trembling as her opponents hand did the same, the Pokemon glancing back at Derek before subtly nodding at Alicia in thanks before grabbing her tail and hurling her upwards. Dealing with Emboar and Tyrantrum simultaneously, as the two rushed her Serenity noticed Emboar readying a Hammer Arm attack as it leapt into the air, and as Tyrantrum readied itself to Tackle and Bite her, Serenity shot up into the air, making the dinosaur smash its face on the ground as it stumbled forward before her horn began to glow. Looking toward the moon above, Serenity took in the energy as she neared Emboar in mid-air. In a surprising move, after gathering the energy she reached out and quickly passed it onto her opponent instead, engulfing Emboar's attack with her own power before flying past the pig, causing the Pokemon to accidentally crash his Moonblast cloaked Hammer Arm down on Tyrantrum as the dinosaur tried to straighten back up.

"That was..." Derek muttered in surprise. "ALRIGHT SERENITY!!" Chris cheered, jumping up excitedly as she landed with a proud smirk as the two Pokemon slowly stood behind her, with Tyrantrum having been dealt a critical blow from a combination it was weak to, Emboar helping the Pokemon steady itself. "Quit that!! Get going!!" Derek ordered, the pig nervously backing away from his wobbly companion and charging once more. The reporters equally impressed, they went over the action while Alicia dealt with her own opponents, Hirayama continuing to swing her about while Haxorus charged in, readying its tusks and claws for a relentless Outrage attack, an all-or-nothing strategy between it and Hirayama. Noticing this, Serenity was about to jump in only for Alicia to warn her to stay back before the snake used the swing to her advantage. Suddenly going faster and faster, Derek grinned with a "that's it!!" remark, thinking it was his Pokemon spinning Alicia only for Hirayama to struggle, trying to maintain its hold while blinking in surprise and sweating as his arm was twisted to and fro. Kicking up the wind, as Haxorus neared Alicia finally unleashed her Twister, the momentum from Hirayama added to her attack as the hefty Pokemon held her tail with both hangs. Growing faster and picking up speed, the two were caught off guard when the Twister started pulling them in as Haxorus tried to leap at her and unleash its attack, stopped by the wall of wind while with a final push, Alicia yanked Hirayama within her attack alongside Haxorus, weak to the attack at the two started bashing against one another, allowing the snake to land and catch her breath with a satisfied look on her face, causing Chris to applaud her as well.

"THAT'S CHEATING!!" Derek suddenly snapped, causing Chris to pause. "That's a Dragon type move!! What gives?!" he asked. "...You want one and didn't know they could do that?" Chris replied, blinking before showing a smirk. "Well, here's some salt in your wound. She happens to come from a line of Pokemon that could pass down the ability to their offspring! Alicia just so happens to be one of em' that inherited the attack! Not only is she one of a kind at heart, she can LITERALLY do things only a handful of her kind can do in the WHOLE world! Nice job throwing THAT away asshole!" he explained before laughing, both he and Alicia showed the same smug grin on their faces, Derek's eyes widening before one began to twitch as Haxorus and Hirayama flew out of the Twister as it dissipated, each hitting a wall of the arena making the crowd jump back, with Haxorus struggling to rise out of confusion from both its cancelled attack and the swirling Twister combined as the reporters continued acting as commentators for the fight. "C-Come on!! Is that all got?!" Serenity suddenly snapped, her arms shrouded by her psychic energy, trembling as she gripped the maw of Tyrantrum, struggling to keep afoot as the dinosaur fought to push her back, its jaws straining to bite down. "Watch your back!!" Chris warned, making her jolt and glance back at Emboar as the pig rushed her before sensing Tyrantrum gathering energy in its maw. Returning her focus to the dinosaur, Serenity's eyes widened as a Hyper Beam formed in its throat. Unable to budge, Serenity winced an eye before jolting when Tyrantrum suddenly threw her aside, the massive Pokemn struggling as Alicia slithered around its body before coiling around its neck.

Looking at Serenity, the snake silently directed her focus toward Emboar, causing Serenity to nod before tackling the pig, working to keeping it close to the dinosaur as Alicia struggled to control it. Unable to cancel out the Hyper Beam, the Tyrantrum thrashed about wildly, trying to break free before the blast fired only for Alicia to shout "NOW!!" before yanking the dinosaurs face toward Emboar, the pig freezing as the Hyper Beam was sent directly toward it. Jumping aside, Serenity watched as the pig struggled to stop the attack, only for the blast to send it flying into one of the walls once again. Stumbling about, Alicia let out an agitated "down" command before forcing the Tyrantrum onto a knee, her hold on its neck cutting off its air as the others rushed in to help. "I said DOWN!!" Alicia snapped, her eyes turning wild as her coil tightened all the more, making the dinosaurs eyes roll before collapsing onto the ground. Finally releasing it, Alicia slithered off its body, the Pokemon gasping for air as her eyes returned to normal. "You dangerous when you do that..." Serenity point out. "I don't like being tested." Alicia affirmed as they started focusing on Hariyama and Haxorus once more, using their size differences to dodge between the two causing Hariyama to smack Haxorus more than once, the later growing frustrated with its partner as they fought. "Alright... This is looking good..." Chris muttered before scanning the arena. "...But where's...?" he asked before looking up, spotting Dragonite and Golurk hovering high above, the two silently watching the battle below. Raising an eyebrow, he was forced to return his focus to the battle when Hirayama came flying toward him, having been flung through the air by Alicia.

With the snake shouting for Chris to watch out, before he could dodge Rose leapt up from behind him, rapidly spinning above his head before delivering an intense downward blow with the back of her leg, sending Emboar immediately smashing face first to the ground before Chris's feet instead as the rabbit landed and stumbled back. "Sh-Shit..." he muttered, blinking in surprise with slight sweat showing while looking at the rabbit. "O-Oops..." she muttered as well before reaching out in a panicked manner, apologizing to Emboar as it groaned and weakly raised, rubbing the back of its head and sitting with a plop before letting out an apologetic sound toward Chris, only for Derek to snap at the pig, insisting it get back into the fight. Watching the Pokemon raise and stumble about dizzily, Emboar returned as ordered while Rose showed a guilty look on her face. "Y-You can be a little scary too..." Chris point out with a nervous laugh. "I-I didn't mean to!! It was subconscious!!" the rabbit affirmed. "Hey!! If that thing's not gonna battle, keep it still!!" Derek ordered. "Her name's Rose!! She was defending me ya prick!!" Chris snapped back, the two maintaining their thin ice between one another as the rabbit inched back behind him warily, giving another apology with a "don't worry about it" response and a thanks from Chris for protecting him. Working together, Serenity and Alicia gradually wore down Derek's team, pitting the companions against one another repeatedly. Over time, their energy and confidence were both whittled away by the girls skill and trickery, most of their moves used on themselves with the girls coming through with minor blows in comparison. Nonetheless, Serenity and Alicia were starting to run out of steam themselves, heavily breathing as sweat dripped down what injuries they did sustain.

"D-Do good... For someone stupid..." Serenity smirked. "Just... Keep out of the way..." Alicia replied as Derek's team surrounded them. Making what was perhaps a desperate move, they charged toward the girls collectively, each readying an attack only for the duo to leap out of the way, causing them to smash together in a dog-pile manner before lying where they landed, Serenity and Alicia dropping next to the exhausted Pokemon before they both took a moment to relax as well, the two catching their breath as Serenity sat and Alicia hung her head. Looking at the two, Derek eyed his team as well, sneering at them as they struggled off one another before he glanced up and smirked slyly. "Not bad Nakazaki..." he exclaimed. "Don't tell me that, they're the one's who did the fighting." Chris affirmed. "Whatever... Only serves that they'd take on the beating too then." Derek replied, causing him to raise an eyebrow before glancing up. "That's right... You're not a gambler when it comes to Pokemon, but I am... And like any gambling man, I've learned to save the best cards for last." he affirmed before snapping his fingers, causing Golurk and Dragonite to ready themselves to charge in. Looking up, Alicia let out an agitated "drat" from the reminder. "Caught up in rest, forget they up there..." Serenity added, the two raising up. "I'm sorry girls! I forgot about them too..." Chris apologized. "You watch our backs good, not worry." Serenity assured. "We knew they were there and still got distracted, we're all at fault." Alicia nodded. "The losers may be down, but the best is well rested and ready to go. After watching you fight, I think they can take you easy, especially after the rest wore you out." Derek affirmed.

"A wretch until the very end... That always was his style." Alicia point out. "Underhanded in every sense, yet still I fought for him..." she confessed. "No point feel bad now, worry about what above." Serenity affirmed. "You've got two tired Pokemon trapped in a box. These two move faster than you can imagine and pack a punch that could take this city out in minutes... It was a nice battle but I'll be taking my prize." Derek grinned before raising his hand and giving another snap. Flying around in a circle above, Dragonite and Golurk picked up speed, moving faster and faster until they finally blasted apart and began rapidly ricocheting around the girls, bouncing like bullets off the ground and walls of the arena at a blinding pace. "Serenity! The Dragonite is weak to your attacks! Try getting a Moonblast to hit it!" Chris instructed. "Alicia, you try and focus on the Golurk, it's weak to you!" he added. "I can't even see the blasted thing..." the snake muttered. "Not easy for me either." Serenity admit before the two thanked him for the tip nonetheless. Trying to focus on their targets, the girls started making the equivalent of blind shots at the two Pokemon darting about, trying and failing time and again to land a hit before the opponents started retaliating, knocking Serenity and Alicia to and fro where they stood. Gripping his staff, Chris grit his teeth before glancing at the Ultra Stones, his eyes widening for a brief second and nodding. "Serenity!! Over here!!" he ordered, tapping his staff while looking back at the stone as a signal. Her own eyes widening, the Pokemon grinned and tried making her way toward him, only to wind up repeatedly knocked back where she was time and again. "Come on..." Chris muttered, gripping his staff all the tighter.

Getting an idea, Serenity instructed Alicia to throw her, only for the snake to be distracted as she struggled just to stay upright, thrashing her Iron Tail about trying to deflect the Pokemon that were pummeling them.relentlessly. Getting knocked about herself, Serenity wound up knocked against Alicia, making the snake stumble at the onslaught continued. Remaining behind Chris warily, Rose hesitated as she struggled with her nature, wanting to lend a hand as the two found themselves in a situation with the odds greatly against them. "If they lose..." Chris muttered, glancing at Derek. "Just have to run for it... No way am I letting him take..." he added, biting his thumbnail as he tried to think of a plan. Not wanting to lose Alicia herself, while also not wanting Chris to wind up a runaway criminal, Rose clung to his coat while pushing herself to inch out from behind him. Sensing this, he looked back and coaxed her to stay. "No... I meant what I said when I made that vow. You don't have to." he insisted before the girls let out a shout, causing him to return his focus toward the two as they swat and released attacks at thin air. "So this is the great Nakazaki..." Derek taunt before laughing. "You're a badass when you can use that power of yours and throw your money around, but when it comes to doing anything without it you're the biggest loser there is!" he added. "Look at them! They're helpless! And you're standing there nibbling your thumb like a baby!" he went on. "See that people?! This hero's a nobody!" Derek affirmed toward the crowd, his words enraging Alicia and Serenity more-so than they already were while Rose showed agitation of her own, further inching her way out from behind Chris.

"Human... You get on nerves...!!" Serenity growled, her psychic aura beginning to turn dark making Chris jolt. "I tire of you just the same...!!" Alicia agreed, her eyes returning to their wild state. Continuing to face a beating, the girls retaliation began turning frantic and thoughtless, their control being whittled down just as they'd whittled away at the enemies before. "Big words from a pair of dumb animals." Derek egged on. As he spoke however, the Golurk and Dragonite slowed just enough for the girls to spot their respective targets, taking the split-second chance to finally land a blow sending their attackers smashing into opposite walls, Derek and Chris both jumping in surprise. "What are you doing?! Get moving!!" Derek snapped, his Pokemon rubbing their heads before returning to their places above the arena and spinning once more, ricocheting a second time around the girls. Paying attention to what happened himself, Chris glanced at the Pokemon the girls had already worn down. "I don't think your partners like the way you talk." he affirmed before calling the girls, snapping them back with a firm order to focus and breathe, allowing Serenity to expel what darkness had tried to form while Alicia pushed back her wild nature, her eyes softening as they continued fighting to defend themselves. "I'm not a freak that gets his kicks treating Pokemon the way you do. They got where they are by being treated like weapons!" Derek affirmed. "That's not how I saw it!!" Chris snapped back. "I saw Alicia's memories!! You raised them just like me!! What happened to that?!" he asked. "THAT was a mistake!!" Derek revealed. "None of them evolved until I beat it into them!!" he added, making Golurk and Dragonite send the girls flying again.

"You didn't give them a chance to do it on THEIR terms!!" Chris snapped again. "You turned cruel, you abused their minds! Abused their bodies! You forced something that would have happened in time if you'd been patient!" he added. "Alicia was just the first, wasn't she?! After you dumped her, the others went through the same, didn't they?!" he added. "They learned their lessons!! The weak get left behind!! They get traded off!! Seeing that is what made them stronger!!" Derek point out. "BEING AFRAID DID!!!" Chris clarified, gritting his teeth. "You're nothing but a manipulative little PRICK who tears down living things just so you feel high and mighty!! What pride is there in being someone like that?!" he asked, looking at the Pokemon. "What pride is there in living a life in fear like that?!" he added. "You two bouncing around!! Dragonite!!" he called out. "Your kind is one of the most caring Pokemon in the world!! Your kind saves people every day, you're the smartest there is!! Why are YOU putting up with a trainer like that?!" Chris lectured. "I know you're compassionate, but how far can that go?! He calls your kind nothing but ANIMALS!! What point is there in caring about someone who openly puts you down like that?! Why would you want to give him more victories to feed an ego he doesn't deserve?!" he point out, noticing Dragonite slowing, however subtly in response. "And you, Golurk!! They say your kind was made by humans to protect us AND to protect Pokemon!! So why are you allowing yourself to fight in a battle you KNOW will trap Alicia with somebody like him?! A battle you know he'll just walk away from and keep treating all of you like trash?! That's not protecting anyone!! You're cursing your own partners to a life of hell!!" Chris went on, Golurk slowing in the same manner.

With Derek instructing them to attack again, the two Pokemon sent the girls flying a third time, though both could tell a sudden difference as they stopped before hitting the walls, both able to catch their balance and stand beforehand. "Just focus on your Pokemon!!" Derek ordered. "Why?! Afraid your Pokemon will gain some common sense?!" Chris asked, causing Derek's eye to twitch again. "They don't HAVE common sense!!" he snapped back, the Pokemon sitting together looking at Derek as the two attacking the girls continued, albeit in a somehow distracted manner that showed them going through their thoughts as they bounced around more-so than hitting the girls. "You didn't get ONE thing you wanted, so you threw away EVERYTHING you had going for you, that THEY had going for THEM!!" Chris affirmed. "Because one person let you down, you turned into an ass that let them all down just because ONE thing didn't happen the way YOU wanted it to, WHEN you wanted it!! Which one of us is REALLY the baby?!" Chris asked, throwing Derek's insult back at him. "You're the child here!! You throw tantrums to the extreme and risk lives!!" he added. "The team that fought for you, that are STILL fighting for you, they were raised on fear, on intimidation at the hands of a person unfit to be a trainer from the very beginning!! No self respecting person or POKEMON would EVER let themselves walk by the side of such a manipulative murderer like YOU!!" Chris finished, pointing at Derek as the crowed awed at the banter between them, the reporters quickly making headlines about Chris's words.

"You kill hope, you kill dreams! You kill bonds and futures! You leave people behind you and trade others off on a whim! You're nothing but a self-centered wheeling and dealing SLAVE PUSHER!! That's ALL you are!!" Chris insulted, Derek's Pokemon looking at Chris in surprise while the two darting around the girls slowed even more. "Oohh that does it..." Derek growled, about to raise his hand for another snap before pausing as Rose stood firmly before Chris, causing him to look down in surprise. "Hey... Come on, I said you didn't..." he tried to remind the rabbit, reaching out only to find her refusing to budge. "You wanna get thrashed too?!" Derek warned, holding his hand out with his fingers ready to snap. Looking at the girls and Derek's Pokemon, Rose thought over Chris's words as well before suddenly jumping up and smacking her Mega Stone, encasing her in a cocoon before using Chris's chest as a springboard and blasting out of her cocoon in the process sending him flying back, causing him to land with a thud on the ground. "Sorry!!" Rose apologized. "N-No worr...!!" Chris tried to respond, only to pause when he'd noticed the rabbit had vanished, now ricocheting off everything just like Derek's Pokemon as she joined the fray. Matching speed with speed, Rose gave chase to the final Pokemon standing in the way of their victory, the group seeing Golurk and Dragonite slam into the walls at random moments, just long enough to see Rose's leg across their bodies before vanishing once more. Within the sealed arena, it was a two-on-one free for all at the speed of sound, each collision emphasized by a blast of power each time Derek's Pokemon and Rose collided, letting off blast after blast of energy.

"Come on!! Take it down!!" Derek ordered. "You okay Rose?!" Chris asked just before she slammed to the ground before him, Dragonite having pinned her. "F-Fine..." she winced with a smile, using her power to kick the dragon back before they vanished again as he stood sweating. "I-I said it before... Shit..." he added in surprise. "This is cheating damn it!!" Derek snapped. "No it's not!!" Chris affirmed, his thin ice cracked yet again. "THIS is what happens when you're patient!! When you actually CARE about who you travel with!! Pokemon or human, it doesn't matter!! When you live with somebody, when you eat with them, sleep with them, they're your partner!! Thinking of them as anything less is what will always set you up for failure!!" he lectured as Rose began gradually gaining the upper hand, with her and Derek's Pokemon continuing to appear and vanish with various impacts between them. "And you!! Golurk, Dragonite!!" he called out. "Don't fight for this prick!! Right now, fight for yourselves!!" he instructed. "For your OWN honor!! Your own PRIDE!! Forget he's even here!! I'M your rival, here and now!! Fight to impress someone who will actually appreciate what you can do!! Fight for the respect of somebody who WILL respect you!! Fight for ME!!" Chris ordered, both the girls and Derek's Pokemon caught off guard by his encouragement of his opponents. Next thing they knew, the intensity of the battle rapidly kicked up as Serenity and Alicia straightened in the center of the arena, continuing to see Rose along with Golurk and Dragonite appear and vanish around them with each blow. "That's it!! Keep going!!" Chris ordered. "Fight!! Fight until you've fought everything he put you through out of your minds!! Fight until you feel your own worth come back!! Fight for your partners!! For your own peace!!" he added, coaxing the fight on.

"...That's some fool we've sided with, isn't it?" Alicia asked. "That the human we choose... That human I choose." Serenity nodded. "Supporting the enemy... It's ridiculous no matter how you spin it." the snake shook her head with a smirk. "And yet somehow..." she paused, looking at Derek's Pokemon as they started cheering on Golurk and Dragonite themselves, Derek ordering them to shut up as he tried to focus. "It make you feel good..." Serenity smiled. "Indeed..." Alicia agreed, before looking back at Chris as he did the same. "...This is a proper battle." she affirmed. "Fight that pump up!" Serenity grinned, hitting her fist into her palm again. "Though... Perhaps we've done our part." Alicia point out, Serenity looking at her before looking around and nodding. "...Cheer for rabbit?" she asked. "Well, they ARE supposedly lucky." Alicia laughed before they started rooting for Rose, causing Chris to look at the girls in surprise. "...That's family for you." a voice suddenly echoed. "Ah... Finally came out?" he asked, looking at his forehead. "I'm always here." the echo reminded as he continued watching the arena. "Pretty amazing, huh Ninetales?" he grinned. "Well... You encouraging the ones you're fighting was a bit of a surprise..." she replied. "It's only fair... That guy being the only one they could turn to was too brutal to put up with." Chris scowled. "So rather than keep the scales in your favor, you went out of your way to balance it out..." Ninetales replied, causing him to nod. "...Well, good luck then." she finished before he felt her presence return to the back of his mind. "A real come-and-go-er aren't you?" he smiled nervously as the battle raged on before him.

In the center of the arena, Serenity and Alicia took notice of the walls beginning to break from the strain the rapidly bouncing Pokemon were putting on them. Looked at one another, the two nodded before standing close with their eyes shut. After a moment, both girls began letting off their own glow as they gathered energy, with a green aura wafting off Alicia while Serenity emit her psychic energy. Noticing this, Derek ordered his Pokemon to attack the girls, only for them to maintain a sudden spectator role and refuse to interfere as they sat firmly together. "...And there you have it..." Chris muttered as Derek snapped at his Pokemon, only for them to remain as they were, looking up at the battle happening above. Getting no obedience from them, Derek turned his attention to the two he thought were still listening, giving the order to focus on Serenity and Alicia instead. So caught up were they in keeping on-par with Rose however, neither obeyed out of their own ambitions to best the rabbit. Every now and then, the battle got drastically close to Serenity and Alicia nonetheless. Despite the threat, the two remained focused as they further stored their energies, maintaining their attention toward the walls around them. After a moment, Golurk and Dragonite finally managed to land a critical blow, sending Rose crashing down before the girls with a pained groan. Trying to raise back up, her Mega Form abruptly vanished before she flopped onto her back, raising her hand with a dazed "I-I'm out..." comment. "You give all time we need, you stay like that." Serenity smirked. "What are you up to...?" Chris muttered curiously, giving the girls a suspicious look as Alicia raised her head higher while Serenity raised her hand.

"You ready, stupid snake?" Serenity asked. "Pah, try not to be the weak link!" Alicia scoffed before focusing on their opponents above. Lowering her head slightly, the snake began to growl as the wind began kicking up, the energy around her emitting all the brighter as did Serenity's as they focused on their targets. "Wh-What are you waiting for?!! ATTACK!!" Derek ordered as Golurk and Dragonite watched the girls. Looking at the two Pokemon himself, Chris nodded with a smirk. "Strongest against strongest..." he approved as a colossal aura finally burst from Alicia, the snake letting out a scream as a Leaf Storm exploded from her body. Pouring all she had into the attack, it turned into that of a hurricane within the barrier, and using her own power, Serenity amplified its size and strength, shrouding the storm in her psychic aura as their abilities spiraled into one. Bracing themselves, Golurk and Dragonite blast their way directly into the attack, finding themselves halted by the force of it as Serenity and Alicia focused the hurricane purely against the two above them. With both teams pouring their all into the final act, Golurk and Dragonite did all they could to force the Leaf Storm back, making progress for a short time before Alicia and Serenity released all they had left into the attack, and with the barrier finally reaching its breaking point, the massive Leaf Storm shattered through the top, causing it to grow multiple times fold as it reached toward the stars making the reporters tilt their cameras completely back in awe as the attack inadvertently caught everyone within the barrier, pulling Derek and his Pokemon in along with Chris and Rose, sending them all swirling out of the arena and launching in various directions.

With Chris and Rose landing on a nearby bench, he quickly caught Rose as she flew toward him, letting out a sigh of relief while his staff landed straight up in a sand-filled pot next to him. Derek and several of his Pokemon landed in the nearby fountains, each loudly splashing into the water while others landed on the ground itself. Looking toward what was left of the barrier, it suddenly vanished showing Serenity and Alicia back to back on the ground, the two conscious but dazed as Serenity weakly raised her fist with a groggy "woo" of victory before groaning, Alicia responding with an irritated "sh-shut up" and getting "you shut up" tossed back. "S-So we won...?" Chris asked, looking around as Golurk pulled itself out of the fountain, leaning over the edge and patting it in a "tap out" manner before slumping with a groan of its own, Dragonite lying nearby and doing the same as it called defeat also. Looking at the other Pokemon, they all behaved the same, collectively motioning for defeat as Derek rose from the fountain himself, crawling over the edge before slumping with a wet flop to the ground and coughing. "B-Bullshit..." he groaned. "...To you maybe." Chris scowled. Setting Rose down on the bench, Chris took his staff in hand and started approaching Derek's Pokemon, convincing Ninetales to let him use some of her power to help them recover enough to stand straight and walk again. Once they were able to do so, the Pokemon gathered as Chris smiled at them and offered a nod. "You fellas did good!" he assured, offering a handshake that had each looking at him puzzled before reaching out and taking his hand one by one. "The way you guys cheered on your friends at the end was the best part if you ask me!" he added, the group looking at Golurk and Dragonite with smiles and grins, causing the two Pokemon to show embarrassed looks as they rubbed their heads.

"And you two..." Chris added, turning toward them. "Real nice at the end... You didn't have to let my girls finish getting ready for that attack, but you did so all of you could gave it everything you had in that last burst. I appreciate it... From the heart." he praised before giving the two a bow, Dragonite blinking at him wide eyed while Golurk tilt its head. "I told you, this was a fight against someone who would respect you for doing your best... It was worth meeting and battling you to see the way you came together in support at the end and how you two really amped things up!" Chris grinned warmly. Standing up, Derek wrung out his coat while approaching. "You... Back off from my Pokemon..." he ordered as Chris turned toward him. "...Can't you call them your partners at least once?" he asked. "You won, shut up and leave it at that." Derek replied coldly, the Pokemon around Chris looking at one another before scowling in response. "What's your problem? Back in, all of you!" he ordered, spreading his coat open to reveal their Pokeballs. "...Well? Come on!" he insisted as they looked back at Chris. "...It's up to you to decide. I don't have any right to tell you what to do any more than he does." he explained, the group of Pokemon looking between him and Derek before collectively sneering at him and approaching. "That's more... Like..." Derek was about to say, pausing as they neared and loomed over him. "H-Hey... What's the deal?" he asked. "Get in already!" he ordered once more as they continued approaching, causing him to inch back beneath their shadows. Suddenly taking him in their grasp, the Pokemon worked to take away their Pokeball's from him, tossing Derek aside once they each had their respective ones.

"H-Hey!! What are you...?!" Derek was about to snap, standing and reaching out only for the Pokemon to look back at him with irritated glares before facing Chris and holding out their Pokeball's with collective grins. "E-Eh...? Me...?" he asked, pointing at himself and blinking in surprise, getting an eager nod from them. "NO WAY!!" Derek argued. "You're mine!! You OWE me!!" he affirmed, causing Chris to jolt before slumping. "Dude..." he groaned as the Pokemon turned back to him. "Y-You're... Mine..." he repeat, albeit in a more meek manner. "I told you, humans or Pokemon, it doesn't matter... They aren't as different as you think. If you feel otherwise..." Chris paused, glancing away. "Maybe it's whoever brought you up that's to blame... I dunno." he added as the Pokemon face him once more with their Pokeball's out. "Ha ha... I appreciate the offer, but trust me, it's a rough life when it comes to travelin' with me. But..." he paused again, thinking it over. "I have some friends that could find you fellas some real great places to call home, if you're interested! If you're more into traveling, they could set you up with way better trainers too!" he assured, the Pokemon looking at one another and muttering to themselves before nodding in agreement. "...I guess that's our victory then. You drop your charges, and these guys get better lives." Chris affirmed. "Y-You can't leave me with nothing!!" Derek argued, the statement snapping a nerve in Chris yet again as he pushed past the Pokemon and approached Derek, his stance and expression making the young man stumble and fall back. "When the HELL did you ever care about leaving someone with nothing?! Why should ANY person, no matter who or WHAT they are, care after the way you've treated others?!" Chris asked.

Stuttering in response, Derek faced down as Chris turned away. "Stupid kid..." he muttered before facing the Pokemon again. "Listen... I'll get you guys to a center. Once you're all healed up, I'll make a few calls and have you transferred. After that, it's on to your futures. BETTER futures." he smiled before further explaining what he had in mind. "As far as you go..." he eventually point out, turning back only to find Derek having vanished. "Y-You uh..." he muttered. "Mr. Nakazaki!!" a reporter suddenly called out, rushing up and pointing toward the girls, both having passed out with Derek standing in front of Alicia, his coat off and tossed aside revealing a strange device on his arm. "H-Hey, what are you...?!" Chris asked, hurrying over as Derek held up a Pokeball with the device connected to it. "You're too weak to resist... With that Twister of yours, that other power..." he grinned while facing Chris. "You can have em'!! I've got mine right here!!" Derek shout before the device let out a strange light that engulfed the Pokeball before he threw it at Alicia, causing it to bounce off before a red aura dragged her inside. Seeing this, Chris's eyes widened as his color turned pale, Derek's former Pokemon looking just as shocked while Serenity raised up with a groggy "wha?" and looked around. "Y-You..." Chris muttered. "Y-YOU...!!" he repeat, this time in a roar as Ninetales aura burst to life above him, the reporters and crowd jumping away. "B-Back off man!! Only fair!! You took all mine!!" Derek insisted. "She had a chip to prevent capture... WHAT IS THAT?!!" Chris point out before some of the reporters murmured something about a Snag Machine, causing him to jolt before turning to one. "A what...?" he asked as Derek started backing away, clutching the Pokeball in his hands while Chris approached.

"I-It's called a Snag Machine sir..." a reporter explained. "Most were destroyed after the Shadow Pokemon crisis in the Orre Region, though some have managed to stay on the market. They allow a trainer to take Pokemon already registered to a Pokeball..." the man point out. "Y-You stole from ME first!!" Derek insisted. "I didn't STEAL, they made a CHOICE!!" Chris clarified while continuing to approach. "I'm warning you... Give that here." he ordered, reaching his hand out. "Those are illegal devices, no region in the world allows them." another reporter revealed, causing Chris to pause before letting out an "oohh..." and shaking his head. "You're in DEEP shit now boy." he warned as Derek backed away, looking at the crowd approaching him. "He could've stolen anyone's Pokemon!" a woman point out. "I bet he stole the one's he already had!" another man affirmed. About to run away, Dragonite quickly blocked Derek, taking his arm in hand and ripping the device off before tossing Derek aside, still clinging to the Pokeball containing Alicia within. Turning in his direction, Chris slowly walked up with his eyes so corrupt no demon in hell could stand unnerved, almost as though the Devil himself were staring Derek down through Chris's eyes. "I'm warning you ONE more time... You give that here!!" he affirmed, his hand remaining out before pausing when the Pokeball began struggling in Derek's hands, suddenly bursting open as Alicia broke free and appearing in a flash, looking at Chris wide eyed as tears immediately began streaming from her eyes as Serenity and Rose joined him by his sides as well. "What... Just happen?" Serenity asked, she and Rose having been teetering on the bridge of consciousness when the snake was captured. "Y-You..." Alicia muttered before slowly turning to Derek. "You... You tried to take me..." she added.

"I-It's not fair...!!" Derek replied. "You... You tried to...!!" Alicia repeat. With the snake having escaped, Chris simmered back down behind her, his aura shrinking until it vanished altogether, his eyes slowly warping back to normal as he let out a sigh, recovering from the burst that erupted within him while rubbing his head. Looking at the snake, her eyes returned to their wild state once more, her fangs beginning to bare as she grit her teeth. "You tried to take me!! " she repeat again before she started hissing furiously. Hearing and watching her behavior, Chris asked Rose to hold his staff, the rabbit doing so and leaning against it while having Serenity take his coat, the Pokemon asking "What go on?" only for him to motion for her to stay silent while approaching Alicia, making his way around. Looking at her face, Chris could tell she was beginning to lose herself just as he had moments earlier, the snake leaning toward Derek as he crawled back in fear. "Don't... Move..." Chris warned, slowly inching his way between them. "H-Her eyes... Wh-What's with that?!" Derek panicked, only for Chris to motion with his hand to stay still. "Alicia...?" he called out, the snake appearing to look right through him with her target set. "Hey... Alicia?" he repeat, holding his hands up. "Don't do it... Come on..." he coaxed softly as her tongue furiously flicked, letting out another hiss as her mouth gradually opened. "Listen to me... Don't do it." Chris repeat. "Wh-What's it doing?!" Derek coward as Alicia started slithering toward him. Carefully reaching out, Chris placed his hands on the snake and started pushing against her. "Don't do it...!! Come on now... It's over...!!" Chris affirmed as Alicia's eyes grew all the more terrifying, their slit appearance sharp enough to cut the nerves of the bravest.

Pushing against him, Alicia made Chris slide back as she grew closer to Derek, her fangs growing longer as her hisses grew louder, the tone more intent on not only attacking, but giving off the sound of the will to kill itself. "Don't do it!!" Chris finally shout as Derek started rapidly crawling back. "S-Stay still!!" Chris tried to warn again, only for Derek to stumble his way up and start running off in a panic. Seeing this, Alicia's instincts snapped, immediately going for the kill and knocking Chris aside as she gave chase. "SHIT!!' Chris panicked before following, using Ninetales power to launch into the air and rocket after the two, leaving everyone behind. Chasing Derek through the plaza, he managed to reach the side streets as Alicia grew closer and closer, her head to the ground as her tongue followed his scent of cowardice. Trying his best to escape, Derek suddenly tripped over bricks sticking up from the street, sending him face-first onto the ground before looking back as Alicia neared. Ready to deliver an attack, she shot into the air with her maw agape, causing him to scream with his arms up before a sudden crunch echoed around the area. With passerby's gasping and backing away, Derek kept his arms up with his eyes tightly shut, finally slowly opening them and lowering his arms to see Chris standing before him, his body leaning back while clinging to Alicia as her fangs buried themselves into his shoulder. "S-Stop..." he groaned, pushing the snake back as her eyes, savage with rage remained focused on Derek. About to crawl back again, this made Alicia press forward, causing Chris to snap for Derek to stay still as he pushed back against the snake, maintaining his hold on her in an embracing manner.

"A-Alicia..." he groaned, wincing before he started rubbing her head. "I know... You're pissed, you're scared... But this isn't doing you any favors." he point out. "He's lost... He lost the fight, he lost his team... He's got nothing now, he's back to square one." Chris affirmed. "Adding to it, he's busted for what he tried to do... He'll get what's coming to him, you don't need to add to it!" he added as her hateful glare remained unchanged. "Sh-She's crazy too...!!" Derek panicked. "And you're a coward!!" Chris snapped, their tone causing Alicia to bite down harder, causing a crunching sound as she hissed vengefully making Chris groan, his knees nearly buckling from the pain as he fought to stay up. "S-Stop it..." he coaxed, continuing to rub her head. "It's over... I'm here, you're with me..." he assured. Continuing to inch back, Derek made Alicia hiss once more before her fangs emitted a venomous purple glow, beginning to inject a burning toxin that caused a sizzling sound to come from her bite, making Chris's knees tremble once more before bracing himself. "Th-This is how you feel, right...?" he asked, resuming rubbing her on the head. "It hurts... It burns inside..." he added in a soft tone. "The more you hold onto it, the worse it burns, the more it hurts... You've gotta let go!" he affirmed. "If you attack him, if you let your instincts take hold..." he paused, groaning as another round of toxin shot into his wound. "Y-You'll be no different... Than the Serperior from that day!" he point out, Alicia's pupils trembling in fury while one of her eyes twitched, responding in however subtle the manner. "You... And him... It's the same thing as that day, when you saw that Serperior snap... This time you're the Serperior, and HE'S the Snivy!" Chris affirmed.

Trying to inch back again, Derek kept his arm up as the crowd around them watched, the people and reporters from the plaza arriving at the scene as did the girls and Derek's Pokemon, their eyes wide in shock. "Sh-She's!!" Rose panicked, about to run up only for Serenity to stop her, holding the rabbits shoulder and shaking her head. "Alicia... What he did to you, all of it was wrong. Trying to kidnap you, THAT was wrong." Chris agreed, the reminder suddenly making the snake push forward again while biting even harder, forcing him to lean back as he continued trying to stop her, maintaining his hold despite the pain. In her mind, Alicia's instincts were tricking her senses, the sight of Derek before her making her believe it was him she was biting as she hissed once more, her eye continuing to twitch from Chris's words nonetheless. "I-I love you, Alicia... I always will, no matter what... Even if you did take him down, I'd still love you..." he assured, Derek's eye's widening before Chris tightened his grip. "But... If you want me to respect you... If you want me to look up to you, to admire you... If you want me to be proud of you, then you'll stop. You'll let it go... Your fear, your hate... You'll move on from this as the better person." he insisted. "That guy, Derek... Justice will put him where he deserves to be." Chris assured as police started arriving, having been called by the reporters as Dragonite handed over the Snag Machine he'd used. About to help, Chris ordered them to stay back as well, doing what he could to soothe Alicia. "Don't do it... Don't be the Serperior that scarred you back then." he coaxed. "This is your chance, your moment to hold yourself back the way that Pokemon couldn't on that day. I'm asking you... Be a Nakazaki! Live by the examples I've tried to set for you!" he insisted, causing the snake to jolt.

"We've both lost ourselves because of this guy, but you pulled me back... And now I'm doing the same for you." Chris affirmed. Finally blinking, Alicia's eyes glanced toward Chris as he looked back and met her gaze with his own. "You... Are a Nakazaki. You're the girl I love, the girl I'd go to hell and back to protect, to stick up for! I'll live for you..." he affirmed, groaning with a wince as the burning shot through him once more before regaining his composure, returning his focus to her eye. "And I'll die for you..." he added, her eye reflecting his face. "Don't throw so much away... For someone like him." Chris finished as she returned her focus to Derek, his face remaining fearful as he sat in defense before her. After a moment, Alicia finally began pulling back, allowing Chris to straighten as her fangs poisonous glow vanished, slowly retracting them from his body making Chris collapse to his knees, gripping his shoulder and groaning as she looked down at him . "...A-Atta girl." he praised, looking up and showing a smile as her eyes finally softened and tears began streaming from them once more. Rushing up, Rose clung to Chris while crying as well, Serenity quickly checking his shoulder. "D-Don't worry... Ninetales is taking care of it." he assured as the holes in his skin began closing, the toxins being boiled away in the process. "H-Hurts like FUCK though...!!" he groaned, gripping his shoulder all the tighter and leaning over before straightening with a deep breath and looking up at Alicia again. "You did it... I knew you could." he praised with a nod. "I-I..." she stuttered. "No... Forget about it." he assured, having no need for an apology.

"Mr. Nakazaki, are you alright?" one of the officers asked. "I'm fine, just need a few minutes." Chris assured as Serenity and Rose helped him stand. Looking back, the group watched as officers pulled up Derek, letting him know he was under arrest and telling him his rights. Panicking, he started telling them about how Chris had attacked him first, breaking the deal they'd made. "We have a mutual agreement on film officers. he can't press charges." one of the reporters exclaimed, holding up their camera in Chris's defense. Looking around, Serenity sighed and nodded. "For once... Not so bad to have humans here..." she confessed as Chris worked to settle Rose down, coaxing her to relax as Alicia continued looking down at Chris, about to speak only to be met with another loving smile from him that caused her to break down all the more. Walking past, the officers took Derek away in cuffs while the reporters who offered to show their film followed. gathering around Chris, the Pokemon that had decided to leave Derek faced Alicia together, showing guilt in their expressions before collectively bowing in an apologetic manner.

Looking at them all, Alicia could barely make out who was who through her tears as Derek's Pokemon started offering to shake Chris's hands again, having set not only her free but now all of them as well through his actions...

Pokemon - Tale of the Guardian Master - CH 147
Pokemon - Tale of the Guardian Master - CH 149
Some time ago, a young man named Chris, now 23, discovered he was chosen to carry a curse passed onto him through his bloodline by a Ninetales his grandfather saved long ago, having grabbed its sacred tails to save it from falling to its demise. Burdened with this fate, which the young man now calls a blessing, Chris accepts the life chosen for him and allows the curse to guide him freely in life, destined to forever put others before himself, to forever follow the path the curse guides him along towards those in need most...

Along his journey thus far, Chris has come across a Ralts who was abandoned by her former trainer for being blind, hurled off the edge of a cliff and left to die that has since evolved into a full fledged Gardevoir by his side, swearing her life to the young man with the mysterious and terrifying ability to use the power of a Shadow Pokemon, granting her the title of a mysterious new Shadow Hybrid... Also traveling by his side is a Snivy who has since become a Servine, abandoned by her former trainer for refusing to evolve after a terrifying battle she had with a Serperior that left her mentally scarred, resulting in her former trainer neglecting and starving her in an attempt to persuade her to evolve, until he finally left her to die as well followed by a Buneary who has since evolved into Lopunny, who's former trainer became enraged due to her refusal to battle and tried to kill her off when he discovered she could only evolve via friendship...

Chris has met many people and Pokemon alike along his journey, each left as inspired by his presence as the last... He's nearly sacrificed himself to save Gardevoir and Servine from a deadly attack by a pack of Houndoom, lead by a Mega formed leader by hurling himself off a cliff to catch the two and nearly dying... Resulting in his lengthy stay in a location called Millennium City where he provided a hospital full of children an awe inspiring play room full of wonders any child would adore... Saved thousands of Pokemon eggs from dying out when their colossal incubation system malfunctioned in one of the cities many centers, and it's the location he saved Lopunny when she was a Buneary from being struck by a massive truck after being hurled into the highway by her former trainer... He's met and inspired a kindhearted old butler named Gerald who served the group during their stay in the city, and even came across the mysterious N from the Pokemon series, inspiring even this strange person during his stay in the city resulting in Chris being deemed a man worthy of keeping an eye on...

Most recently, Chris had become a criminal during his efforts to free Lopunny from her former trainer altogether, having forced his way into the city's top prison the man was held within and taking not only the Pokeball belonging to Lopunny, but taking all of his other Pokeballs to free the Pokemon within them as well only to discover the mans father was the Warden of that very prison in the process. Finding himself intrigued by Chris, the Warden gave him a chance to avoid prison time by revealing he was also the city's Gym Leader, striking a deal that if he won he would be pardoned of all crimes and allowed to leave the city.

Before the day of the match arrived, Chris found himself becoming close friends with the city's top scientist, Professor Rose, and together along with her staff they managed to complete Project Celebi, a device that could transplant sight between two people without surgery! The project turned out to be a success after Chris offered the sight in his left eye to give Gardevoir the ability to see the world for the first time via her right!

After this, the time for his showdown with the Warden arrived, and after a lengthy two part battle, Chris turned out the victor with the support of all those attending the event and beyond... To thank them for fighting for his sake, Chris gave Gardevoir, Servine, and Lopunny their own unique names, gaining the titles Serenity, Alicia, and Rose respectively, with Lopunny being named after the professor who had done so much for the group during their stay in the city...

After regaining his freedom, Chris and the girls spent a week at Arthur and Angela's massive manor on the outskirts of the city, followed by a first class cruise aboard the brand new S.S. Guardian, the first pollutant free ship in the world relying solely on solar power reservoirs! With its maiden voyage celebrating the 100th anniversary of the loss of the R.M.S. Arceanic, fate played its hand along their way to Arcticu Valley and led the Guardian to the exact location of the ships wreckage. Attacked by a massive Gyarados swarm, the Guardian was sank to the bottom of the sea, protected by a barrier crafted by Serenity which resulted in the discovery of the remains of the legendary ship.

In turn, many truths came to light in the dark depths, and after garnering the aid of the souls aboard the remains of the vessel, the Guardian managed to return to the surface of the sea once more and the Gyarados were defeated! Criminals were justly punished, a company was repossessed, and Chris was given total ownership of the entirety of the Arceanic wreck site! And now, they've finally arrived at their destination, and many more adventures are about to unfold...

Is it possible that Derek obtained the device he used to steal Alicia from Greevil or his sons as a means to test the device against the anti pokeball chip? Just a theory is all as they could try using the device to steal/borrow Serenity to purify her as mentioned in a previous chapter.

When it comes to questions about the series they're usually answered in the chapters.
Just have to keep reading.
