It's nice to have a sister, even if she's a sister-of-the-heart rather than of the blood.
Those of you who have been following me for a while know that one of the side effects of Grace's curse is that it sometimes causes her to age down to, roughly, ten years old. She doesn't really mind because there are things you can do at ten you can't when you're an adult. Her favorite is playing on the swings and seeing how high she can get before leaping out. But it can be a little tough on her sometimes, too, since it's one more point of instability in a tumultuous life. During these times, she's grateful for all of her friends who help look after her.
They certainly can be, yes. Sometimes, the family you choose by love can be more meaningful than family you have simply because you're kin to them. Though I'm really lucky in that my real-life sister is every bit as awesome as my sister-of-the-heart, too.
*Grins* It's adorable, and I can assure you there are plenty of ruffles to be had! She always makes sure of that!
The little bandages are meant to be from the swings, yes. And/or your average childhood scrapes and bumps. I really just thought they'd be cute.
