Okay, I had to follow up that last picture with something more innocent and cute. This was inspired by the same episode, in a scene where Spike mentions bringing Twilight's cape to the cleaners. Just let that sink in. Twilight. Has a cape. Awesome.

And you know she makes poor Spike play the super villain. ....which would explain why he has that costume. Oh god, a night in for these two would be weird.

Now that you mention it they have a pretty good set up for a PPGZ-MLP parody thing... Blossom/Twilight Sparkle, Buttercup/Rainbow Dash, & Bubbles/Fluttershy. How have I just realized this?!? I could so see a PPGZ spoof with this set up. Spike would be Poochy. (If you haven't seen PPGZ it's basically a sailormoon version of PPG. I think it was released in 03-04?)

I've only seen bits and pieces of it. Not familiar with Poochy. Considering how much PPG spoofed anime, I was really curious to see how an actual PPG anime would turn out. Unfortunately, it was never brought over to the U.S., and last time I checked, it was difficult for me to find anything on it. But since it's been a while, maybe it'll be a bit easier to find now.

They have the english version on Youtube. By the way, Poochy is a robot dog that is used to alert the PPG when there is trouble. The whole concept of PPGZ is that professor utonium finally managed to stabalize chemical x and in doing so made a new chemical which is dubbed "Z" when the professor's assistant uses the chemical to stop an un-natural weather phnominon, black & white rays of light are scattered everywhere. These Z Rays are the source of all the villans (Black Rays) And the PPG's powers (White) Poochy was also hit by a white ray and therefore can be used to trigger the PPG transformation. Much like the sailor moon transfomations it happens in every episode. On another note... who do you think would be a villan if they did do a MLP/PPGZ show?

Hmm, maybe it would be too obvious, but Discord would be Him. AJ or Granny Smith as Fuzzy Lumpkins, the CMC's as the Amoeba Boys, and Trixie as Princess Morbucks (or Diamond Tiara if you wanted to make the CMC's the main characters).

Discord as him makes perfect sense. I honestly thought Big Macintosh would be fuzzy after something caused him to go insane or something. Trixie would work for Princess. The CMC as the Amoeba "girls" fits perfectly as they tend to be more annoying than dangerous. There are two other main villians in PPG you forgot though Sedusa and Mojo Jojo. I could see rarity as Sedusa after getting attacked by Him/Discord, or maybe luna in a nightmare moon/luna swap personality thing. Now Mojo would be tricky... very little characters in MLP fit that level of random evil... Random? Pinkie Pie, of course!

Oh yeah! Good call on Rarity/Sedusa. I admit I got stuck trying to think who would fit Mojo Jojo. Pinkie actually makes sense, now that you mention it. Another quality about Mojo to consider is that he thinks he's brilliant, but he's usually too goofy for his own good. Definitely fits the party pony!

If you ask me pinkie wouldn't think she was doing anything bad, but she would still be causing mass chaos. For example firing a massive party cannon that blocks out the sky with confettie. You know that sorta thing.

According to Spike in the episode. In hindsight, though, the episode aired shortly before Nightmare Night and Mysterious Mare-Do-Well, so there's some speculation that he might have been talking about one of those capes.
